So since this season is almost over I've been wondering how long do you guys think the show will last? I mean the rumor is that season 3 is only going to have 13 episodes in it (though this is of course a rumor) Personally if season 3 isn't 13 episodes I'm going with it ending at season 4 maybe, if we are lucky, 5 and then we get at least 1 direct to DVD movie (every other Gen has gotten at least one so far) And truth be told IMO if season 3 really is only 13 episode then definitely prepare for The Movie.

13 episodes have been ordered; it allows syndication at that point. That doesn't mean they can't order more.

I'm well aware of that, I was just saying on the off chance they don't order more it could be because they are planing a Movie or something.

I just watched "the Internet is for Discord"
can't link it because the song itself is not forum appropriate, but it was pretty good except that they used one of the Flim Flam brothers for two characters, one of them later represented buy Spike.

I saw that. It's actually one of the reasons I watched an episode of My Little Pony Tales. And you know, Mariomarc is right, it is surprisingly good.

So... I got pony rolled at anime club. They showed the beginning of "Suited for Success" and just before Art of the Dress started, it switched to what google tells me is G3 ponies. *shudders*

honestly if hasbro didn't take advantage of the bronies and made a movie, i would be very disappoint

I say that because before every new episode, BronyState Theatre stops showing PMVs, and starts up an episode of the old MLP.

Once I had seen "Friendship is Magic", there was no turning back for me. I watched some of the Gen 1 episodes for comedy reasons. They need a commentary in the style of MST3K. They are so funny!

More zombie ponies! I keep going back to this concept because I have watched "Bridle Gossip" too many times. (Warning: Gore) I have no idea why the artist decided to add Zim and Gir though.

What you would be deadlier? Derpy's muffin launcher or Spike's Pinkie launcher?

I kind of wish they would do a zombie apocalypse episode. "Adventure Time" had two. And I am not just saying this because I am watching "Dawn of the Dead" while posting this.

If they were to do that, it'd probably have to be a sort of one-off episode that isn't a part of the actual show's consistency. But honestly, zombie ponies are more than okay with me.

It could be like a slumber party "scary story" type thing, or some sort of connection to Nightmare Night.

I think it's going to last 4-5 seasons if we are lucky and then it will sunset. I know that people love this gen to death, but it's not going to run as long as say Family Guy or such. Transformers typically gets in about 3+ seasons before it sunsets and those fans have been around and more 'active' then MLP fans for a long time.

Thing is, how many 'fans' will be around after LF's gen ends is the question. There's MLP fans who have been around though all of the gens and if I remember, they don't really get along very well with the current Gen fans, seeing them as more as johnny come latetlys. And I'd say that it's the LF artstyle that 40% of the fanbase sticks around for. What will they do when the next gen comes and it's not Friendship is Magic anymore?

There's going to be a fandom split sooner or later.

Yeah, it's very likely that much of the fanbase will be moving on with the end of Gen 4. Unless another producer comes along and decides to keep to a very similar style of animation, storytelling, and character personality, there is very little chance that I'll still be a "brony" for whenever Gen 5 comes along.

I, like a lot of other people, only got into the fandom because Lauren Faust was a major contributor to its production, and it really showed in the way the show was and is being made.

If generation 4 ends and a generation 5 begins, I plan on giving it a shot. I would have no expectations for it. It would have plenty reason to still be good, but it also could be bad. I'd keep an open mind.

For all the cross over art I have seen for MLP, I am surprised that no one has done a cross over with "The Walking Dead". I can't look at Rick with his cowboy hat and not think about Applejack.

Twilight could really use one of these!

I was thinking about Equestria's political organization, since there are all these lesser princes and princesses running around. Perhaps Equestria is structured like the Holy Roman Empire, a confederacy of fiefdoms and principalities with one noble acted as leader to the rest. The only exception is that Celestia has much more power and influence. The kind that would make a Holy Roman Emperor drool.

These ponies with the title of prince or princess may not necessarily be related to Celestia by blood, if at all.

Perhaps she should have the title of Empress Celestia instead, but the title princess is associated with youth and beauty.

Same here. I mean, even if Hasbro doesn't completely follow the FiM formula, I seriously can't believe that they will throw away all the stuff that made FiM work and go back to something like Gen 3. No company would be dumb enough to do that.

In any case, we'll all stay friends around here after FiM ends, right?

*hug back* Well, you can't deny that giving them to Bay was a smart move financially. Those movies have raked in billions.

Also, the Bay movies are NOT as bad as Generations 3 and 3.5 were. And afterwards we got Transformers Prime, which is an awesome show, so it somewhat evens out.

Once Gen 4 ends, I'll instantly forget everything I've ever learned about friendship.

On a more serious note, I'd just like to clarify that I'll still be giving Gen 5 a chance. I can't imagine it'll be on the same level of "awesome" as FiM is, but that's fine; I still might enjoy it.
