Watership Down Petition - Save Sandleford Warren

Post by JohnWillow »

You might not be aware of this but a local council of england has approved plans to build 2000 homes on part of the land that inspired Richard Adam's much beloved novel about the struggles of a small group of rabbits.

I'm not that big a follower of politics. Half the stuff they say might as well be in Japanese. But from what i've seen the plan for economic growth is to get people "Spending again". How is that possible when lots of people are unemployed, the cost of living (including petrol and childcare) is going up and they keep building houses that nobody can buy???

Spike - "Seriously, a talking Dog is the weird thing about all this"

Me - "Not at all, the fact that you're a dog and not a lizard is much weirder"

I'm sorry, but politics are off-limits on this forum. I have to close this.
