WELL. I only disappear for one eternity, when all of a sudden I return to Grape and Peanut together.
I suppose a lot can happen in a several months.

She's sticking with Max while getting all cute with Peanut now. It makes Peanut and Grape feel the most "Family-Like". <3

It works best with Peanut and Grape since they were, most likely were raised with one another since birth and can border very easily towards an affectionate raised feeling. They were so used to growing up together and Peanut more than likely felt like he wanted some part of that from Grape once he found out Grape was female.

All in all, everyone wins. i'm sure people wil love seeing Grape and Peanut get mushy while keeping their regular relationships good. It will also give us some more laughs.

Grape just said she will be "mushy" for Peanut and that when she thinks of romance, she still thinks of "cats." All what just happened implies that it IS POSSIBLE, for her and Peanut to get together, have a romantic relationship. You got too read between the lines...READ THEM DARN YOU!

I think I agree with this it (to me anyway) both kills the ship and leave open the possibility for something to happen later. But then again if it ends like this I think I could be happy with it.

I know they aren't. I mean heck they are a cat and dog.

But I just can't shake the uncomfortable feeling that this FEELS like an incest plot-line. Seeing Grape kiss Peanut just really punched me in the stomach in an uncomfortable way. They may not be siblings by birth, but they are adopted, and thus legally siblings.

I was trying to word it in the most polite way possible. I've been reading since like the 6th or 7th comic, and while I've always loved it, this particular arc just gives me the heeby-jeebies. It didn't bother me before when it was just "snerk Peanut has a crush on Grape" but now that it's been put out in clear words in today's comic, it's just really making me uncomfortable. Sick in my stomach.

I blame it on always having though of the two as brother and sister (well okay fine, brother and brother before Rick pointed out that Grape was a girl).

They're animals. They aren't legal siblings, and they aren't "adopted" in the human sense. Perhaps that helps.

I Hate to tell you this but its a common thing amounts Real life animals / pets.
There are allot of things you can think about that make it awkward (I.E age)
Indeed it can be unconvertible to think about it that way, so the best thing to do is not thing think to much about it and just roll with it.

This.

I have cats that do the same thing and they are looked at as more of a brother and sister relation. it's really only awkward if you try to compare pets to humans all the time. It's best not to look into it too much since the key thing here is it's a pet universe. it's acceptable to them because they are pets, and it can be hard to describe a pet romance if you try looking at them as humans %100 of the time. (As Grape best describes it)

Rick dares, and I love it.

I couldn't agree more with this. And he manages to do it at just the right pace, to keep things fresh and exciting, but without changing things too quickly. I think that's one of the main reasons why I continue to love Housepets as much now as I did when I started reading it.

And I just had to take a break from my studies to hop on and join in on the dawwww-ing. I just love the way this arc has turned out. I agree that what Flamboyant-Pencil said is a concern, but it could be that this was exactly what Peanut needed from the start. I mean, from a counseling standpoint, the romantic attraction for Grape that Peanut was feeling could have been his very legitimate segregate family love for her that was desperate for a mode of expression where it otherwise had none. Now that it has a proper means of being expressed, the other feelings will fade. I think this may be along the lines of what you were saying Bixlow?

Anyway, time will tell for Peanut I suppose. But for now, on to more awesomeness no doubt ^_^
