I only have Windows Movie Maker, which is good when you have the time to spend on editing...but otherwise kind of limited.

I use the beginners version of Sony Vages 9. It's quite cheap from the website. I think it was about £30 to download? It's quite complicated, but I learnt all the stuff myself playing around with it for a few hours.
EDIT: Also, there's a 30 day free trial on the website, I believe.

me and my little sister made a video earlier today. I can't link it or even upload it anywhere yet because she can't find the cable for her camera 
what basically happened is mum and dad went out shopping for a couple of hours and so we decided it would be funny to have a "mock" sword fight. I love how serious our expressions are even though there are like a hundred errors we made. pretty good seeing as it was not scripted.
hopefully I can upload it at some point but even more hopefully mum wont see the dents and bent end of her broomstick
