Running into that was kind of the opposite of playing it for the meme. The saturation of the phrase took the important "comedy" bit out of the black comedy.

Passed hula-hoopers in the school hall and joined in. turns out today was the first day of hula-hoop club. My school's extracurriculum is AMAZING. We're starting a Whose Line is it Anyway club soon; we finally managed to find our Wayne Brady.

How does that differ from an improv club?

I wasn't sure if I posted it or not, but after a quick scan I didn't SEE it, so I just figured someone would bonk me if I did. Besides man, HULA-HOOP CLUB. As in, a club for hula-hooping.

Well it came about with me spontaneously springing someone into a game of questions only. It would just be more similar to WLiiA than assorted improv exercises.

funfunfun.

yeah. WLiiA is a bit different from normal improv. normal improv is often a collaborative effort and the exercises they do aren't that funny. Whose line has theadded element of it being a kind of competition.

so I guess a whose line club would eliminate those exercises that are kind of boring.

I really meant compared to the ones on Whose Line. they're slightly less entertaining. I'm talking about some of the ones on Improv-A-Ganza.

Anytime I think about WLiiA, I always think it should still be on the air. but you gotta know when to just let it go and be happy with the youtube videos. Haven't really seen any Improv-A-Ganza, but I don't want them to ruin my nostalgia.

I hope we can get enough people behind it. We'd need about 5 more people, but I don't think it should be too hard to get people to stay after school to act like idiots.

At what point in the history of rap music has anyone EVER thought, "Hey, I bet purposefully bad rhythm will make this sound better!"?

I know, but he didn't need to lay it on THAT thick. Rhythm is pretty much one of the only things necessary in rap music; you can't just get rid of it. Now, if they had just given him a jerky rhythm, it would have been entertaining.

The quality of these things is starting to decline.

Columbus won so hard. Which is bad, because he was nothing special. I get they were trying to say something, but this is like Christopher Walken on steroids. It just doesn't work.

It's not bad. I haven't seen enough to judge it completely, though.
They actually improved the mechanics of a couple games to make them more engaging (Film, TV, Theatre styles is the most prominent example, in which the acting "host" takes and messes with audience suggestions live in a way somewhat reminiscent of Hollywood Director). They also added a game or two that for whatever reason never made it onto the American roster.

I've never understood the musical theory of "messing up the rhythm and meter sounds good". Maybe I'm a musical plebeian.

As much as I am a fanboy for the british nation, I'm scared to watch the UK version. It looks like its cover is begging to be judged poorly. and I the video quality on youtube (when i stumble upon it) is always so poor.

It has a very interesting effect if done in a controlled fashion. It provides a more improvisational, emotional feel, and can also create some unique textures.

Now, when it's overdone, you sound like Captain Kirk and it's a huge mess.

how many epic rap battles of history are there now?
I think the last two I saw were napolean bonaparte vs. napoleandynamite, and the easter bunny vs gehngis kahn.
I agree the quality has been slipping.
I think in Non-sequiturs

There's 14.

A lot of the new ones aren't too good, but Shakespeare vs. Dr. Seuss is amazing.

I don't like rap, it's just talking. Improv rap is cool but only clever people can do that. These days rap lyrics are disgusting.

SPEAKING OF DISGUSTING! A girl in my tutor group was listening in on a convosation me and my friend were having and I mention Freddy Mercury and she turned round and said "FREDDY MERCURY. IS HE THAT RAPPER". I was so close to picking up my chair and DRIVING IT'S LEG THROUGH HER SK-*cough* .-.

Really I'm can listen to anything, so expect me to be all over with the artists I like.

I too like Linkin Park, but I also like several rap artists, a few rock bands, Beethoven's symphonic arts, And several other bands and such in wide variation.
