It's still weird, but i can see myself doing this when asked, no problem

Ahh, Fur Suits, the spawn of so much hate over the internet.
But truthfully, if I met one of these people in their suit, I'd have to give em a big ol' hug .

It all just looks like it is done in the name of good fun.
I am way to shy and unwilling to do something like this myself though ;).

A bunch of people going out in public, doing what they want to do and not caring what others think about them, that is admirable.

The first time I saw a Fur-suiter, he was being thrown down a flight of concrete stairs... I helped the poor guy to the hospital... some people can be real jerks

...I understand fursuiting about as much as I understand zentai. That is, I understand the element of anonymity or in the case of fursuiting, putting on a different face (as opposed to no face)... but that's it. I don't understand the attraction to the specific things they do, and I don't understand why people would actually go out and do that.

Basically, to each their own. I would not like to meet one.
But jeez, thank god for people like biscuit. Jerk doesn't begin to describe that.
I was going to make a joke but then I did.

Fursuiters can be pretty weird, but we love them for it!*

*We do not love all fursuiters, or even the majority of them. Some of them are interesting, though.

on one side said i think..
"wow thats weird"

On the other I think,
"We got a Carnaval event where we just dress up as crazy as we can and drink the most amount of beer in that we can in one week."
(AKA, topsy turvy day)
but for some reason, that feels way less awkward then a guy in a giant fur suit wanting to hug you.

It's really sad to hear stuff like that happens.

I respect these people. They are ussually awesome. *claps*...and now for the bitter truth...

Whenever i see anyone like that...I get incredibly scared and can't take my eyes off them in distrust... my heart beats faster...that's right. I have fursuit-phobia.

I'm sorry if I offend anyone...but that's my opinion on the matter. I'm not a hator through, I wouldn't wish anything bad to happen nor insult them in any way, shape or form. Eavryone has embarrassing fears.

I tend not to trust strangers unquestioningly in general, whether they're in a fursuit or not.

I have to admit, Weasley, you really don't paint the picture of someone with an anxiety disorder as diagnosed by a psychological professional.
Naturally, one can argue that phobia has come to be a colloquial synonym of fear as a noun ("oh I am afraid of bees, thus I have a phobia of them") but phobia is one of the very few terms that I get super nit-picky about.
I was going to make a joke but then I did.

I get paralyzed at the sight of spiders if that counts.
I know there is nothing to be afraid of in most cases, but my body just reacts.
That is how I define a phobia, an irrational fear. Something you can't control.

Now Aaronmlo, if you really have a fear of people in these suits, never go to Disney World ;).

I went to Disneyland when I was young and was hugged by Micky Mouse...that is one of my first memories...being hugged by him and getting incredibly scared...

Yeah, phobia is latin for a strong fear...I suppose the correct term that I should of used is...I don't feel comfortable, or perhaps a bit scared. The story could end at that.
