THE QUICKENIIIIIIING!!!!!
Re: ARC 44: LET'S IMAGINATE MACBETH!
I'm pretty sure this is one of those "It's better if you know" jokes, so does someone mind explaining the whole "Quickening" thing?
Love me right now! Done.

Re: ARC 44: LET'S IMAGINATE MACBETH!
I know in Final Fantasy XII they called a certain kind of spell a "Quickening" each character had three special ones that could be used depending on how many magic bars they had.

The Quickening is a thing from the Movie Highlander, when an Immortal would cut off another Immortals head The Quickening would happen and he/she would be hit by lightning and stuff would explode; then he/she would gain the memories and abilities of the Immortal he/she had killed.

How can one decapitate with a collar on?!?
I could just imagine Peanut inherited the ability to make cat-like grins because of this act. Or somehow merge their collars, but then that would just be silly.
On a side note: If only Macduff did that in the Gargoyle series. Mwahaha!

Re: ARC 44: LET'S IMAGINATE MACBETH!
Chances are this arc's done. So I just wanna say:
- It's cool to see an Imaginate arc entirely done with old school acting. Much more amusing. Also loved seeing these five acting out a real-life play honestly. Even though there were not much OOC nods, they were there in a nice, charming way.
- As anxious as I am to see more of this awesome five pet band, I hope to see some unexpected plots in the future. I don't care if it's as boring as raking leaves!
- A pretend marriage is the best marriage. it's only beat by the real deal

Re: ARC 44: LET'S IMAGINATE MACBETH!
To be honest I didn't like this arc at all aside for the quickening mist charge. It sort of relied on me actually having some knowledge of Mcbeth. Most of the jokes didn't actually relate to the story, but with out any prior knowledge my interest was completely lost by the third strip. Plus I'm not the biggest fan of literature in the first place.

As much as i foresee it as a Noodle incident...Same here. But not only because it sounds humorous, but the fact that Tarot used it on the middle of the street!

Also the first Panel confirms that Sabrina was the one who broke up with Max since Max said "You had your chance" to her implying she was the one to break it off and not him. Though we still don't know why.

hmmm point taken, that does seem like something Max would do.DismayWolf wrote:

Yeah if I'm right about this, that's a huge possibility, but its just as equally possible it could be a number of other things. Ie. she fell out of love with him (before she met Fido), he did something very very stupid (possibly an abuse of magic or something if she was being trained by Tarot at the time) and she broke it off because of that, ect.RandomGeekNamedBrent wrote: probably for Fido.

Re: ARC 44: LET'S IMAGINATE MACBETH!
I can see both points, but when Rick first said they were once together, the way he kind of cowered could of been because of both, the guilt of breaking it off, and knowing she can totally get even with her mystic powers lolIceKitsune wrote:hmmm point taken, that does seem like something Max would do.DismayWolf wrote:

I'm willing to bet it was Pridelands-based. Or rather, saucy Pridelands fanfiction-based. "Oh, Petir~" x3RandomGeekNamedBrent wrote:I WANT TO KNOW WHAT SHE DID!!!

It's the nudule incident. I suspect that the mental projection power only works for the folks actually involved in it - to anyone else they'd just see a bunch of pets acting out whatever.GameCobra wrote:At least this time he put his collar back on. *clik!*RandomGeekNamedBrent wrote:I WANT TO KNOW WHAT SHE DID!!!

Re: ARC 44: LET'S IMAGINATE MACBETH!
"Nudule incident" could be a double reference, since it was a word first used on homestarrunner.com and used by Rick during the theme park arc.

It would actually be either a week and a half of one offs or two and and a half. Unless this arc isn't actually over with yet.PhoenixAsper wrote:Oh, GRAPE!

Hey, one offs are okay with me too, for now. I'm actually hoping that these particular one offs will be more Tiger or ferret hijinks. And perhaps another Spot comic thrown in there.
