Question reffering the Housepets book

Post by Pah1023 »

I am thinking about purchasing the Housepets Book 1,
but I want to know if its different then the comic strips, Or if its the same.
I don't want to purchase it and it turns out to be the comics in the archive.

If I posted this in the wrong section, I am completely sorry and would like a moderator move this to the correct section.

Yes, it's the first year of the comic comprised in book form. No new comics or anything in it. There's about 3 added drawings and a detailed explanation about the comic on the back cover. If you're looking to buy it however for something completely different from what we read on this site the only difference is it's from computer screen to book.

Personally, i think it's a great book. I use it to show everyone that hasn't read the comic and even read it when i'm at work just to remind myself how much i love the comic.

It's great having a hard copy of a comic anthology. I think it's awesome seeing Housepets! in print, personally. But yeah, it's not a ton of new content. Enough to please a hardcore fan though!

I bought it just to support Rick really (though the bonus art was a secondary reason) what I really would want is when the comic is over like a Nice two or three volume collection of everything in hardcovers. I know that's most likely a bit unrealistic (the hard covers, though I think every one would really like that, and only in 3 volumes) but Rick did say he would do a huge compilation at the end.

You know, I might be crazy, but I could have sworn that every now and then, there were added panels to some comics. I haven't looked into it, but I could swear that some of the panels might be new. Plus, the bonus art is very sweet. Peanut never looked so cute!

Aww, that reminded me of that art and I smiled a little. :P

I really doubt there are new panels added, and you just forgot about them.

...Are they?

Look at that christmas comic with the different panels. I do not remember the Daisy one that is in the book...

And there are more. They just struck me as not being in the original one.

Yeah, you should at least get a partial refund for that. Mine came out perfectly fine, so something must have happened there...

Mine came out 97% perfectly, the only noticeable issue is that on the right side of the left pages, the text gets a tad blurry. Other than that, it's a lovely thing to have around, especially when you're stuck somewhere without internet to read the comic. Went to my friend's house (He has dial up and a crappy computer.) and ended up reading the book to pass time, and even though I've already read every comic that's out so far, it was still worth the time, and definitely worth the money. I'll be buying every book that comes out!
Totally going to write saucy fan fiction about this comic one day
