Yes. Quite. I am surprised at the lack of content. So if a train stopped in the middle of it's route, would anybody care?

I believe the train has fallen along the wayside. Not a very good form of transportation at the moment where I live...

What sort of train is this? A freight train? Commuter train? Metropolitan train? Late 19th century steam engine? Thomas the tank engine? You might get some angry letters if you abandon Thomas the Tank Engine.

Side Note: Just to appease a pet peeve of mine, General public, please stop crediting abrams for the plot developments of Lost. Abrams left halfway through the first season, and so was only involved in the overall plot arc in the most broad and general way. Seriously, stop doing that. Also, sometimes people do the same thing with jeffrey lieber. This is even worse, because lieber never even worked on the show, he just pitched a different show that was sort of related but not very similar to what they eventually made of it. Kthx

I never actually watched lost. my problem is his tendency to make the main focus of his movies a mystery until they release, and sometimes leaves us guessing even then. and I assume he did that with lost at the beginning, and those who took over just continued it to an extreme. he's managed to avoid this in Fringe, though.

What would happen if someone with alzheimers commits a crime and forgets about it the next day? Can the person go to jail?

I'm sure something like an insanity plea would come into play. but yes, assuming they were in their right mind when they commited the crime, they could go to jail.

however, there are a few laws.

so if you had a really good lawyer and they had a really bad one, you could have a case.

I don't think Alzheimer's counts as insanity, the person is usually in a conscious state, they just loose track of time and forget things.

However, like Psyk said, it could vary from case to case.

I'm pretty sure they'd still go to jail. There could be special cases of course, but generally, that's jail.

If you have a tendency towards crimes that can send you to jail, and your Alzheimers is bad enough that you can't remember committing them, you probably should be kept under strict supervision regardless of whether you go to prison.
