Doctor Who

Post by Penwrite »

I knew about this show since it came back in 2005, but I only started watching it after two things: my favorite internet reviewer Linkara discussing it in an episode, and reading an awesome MLP:FIM crossover fic.

With that said, I can't get enough of the show, and I want to share it with y'all! What's you favorite episode, who's your favorite Doctor, how did you get into it, let's discuss! ^_^ My favorite episode so far is either "Blink" with the 10th Doctor, or "The Beast Below" with the 11th. My favorite Doctor so far is definitely the 11th. He was my first after I caught "The 11th Hour" starting on TV.

love Docter who. Sadly only watched stuff with the 10th docter though. Matt Smith hasn't really blown me away unlike with David Tennant. Either way, Blink is probably my fav' episode as well.

Also, anybody here watched some Torchwood? That was an amazing spin-off in my opinion.

YES. Why didn't I think of making this thread?

I like them both, but Tennant is still my favorite.
Blink is probably my fav' episode as well.
"Don't blink, don't even. Blink and you're dead. They are fast, faster than you could believe. So don't turn your back, don't look away, and don't blink. Good luck." Blink: Creepy episode, or creepiest episode? :3

Haven't seen it, but I've heard good things about it.
an awesome MLP:FIM crossover fic.
Wait, what? Where can this be found?

...wait, was that meant to mean that you didn't know about the fics, or that you don't think any of them are good?

It means I wasn't aware of their existence. The  was because I found the premise to be a really funny idea. Because I haven't read it, I can't exactly pass judgment, but it sounds awesome.

So, as I was saying: Where can this be found? :3

i think it's cause Matt Smith is just trying to be as good as David Tennant... but not doing a very good job at it...

but my favorite episode is either 'blink' or 'Silence In the Library' :3

and David Tennant is by far my favorite :3

As for Matt Smith; I don't think he's trying too hard to be like Tennant. His Doctor seems to have a shorter temper than Tennant's, he doesn't seem to get all panicky as badly, seems to be over the Great Time War quite a deal better than Tennant...plus he has a bow tie. Bow ties are cool. :P

That'd be neat. Maybe a Christmas episode or somesuch. Although...considering what's happened in the latest season so far, Smith might be the last Doctor EVER. :?

you mean when he got "killed?"
well that might be true *sadness*
but didn't they say in the show that, that was like, 200 years in his future?

and you know what i think is the best part about this show?
they say so much stuff, so fast, that it hits me like, five minutes later, and it makes sense. then i fell smarter-er after watching an episode :3

Okay, new question, folks. If you could be a companion of the Doctor, where and when would you want to go first?

Okay, new question: How would an '80s anime adaptation of Doctor Who look like?

Answer: Thus.

I don't get BBCAmerica, and something like Netflix...I don't actually have a full-time job, so something like that would have to be payed for by the 'rents (since I'm home for the summer). Hmm, I could talk to them about it I guess...

That's happened a lot, I've noticed. :P

And at Kitela: everybody likes it because it has the most brilliant concept. Any time, any where can be the setting of a story. Want an episode in ancient Rome? Watch "The Fires of Pompeii." Want to an episode set in a 29th-century spaceship great Britain with Star Wars references? Check out "The Beast Below." Horror story? "Blink." It's a series with limitless possibility! :D
