Because Y2K is something we remember fairly well, and it's weird talking with someone who doesn't remember it.

just because I feel weird that It seems so recent, then I remember it was only 11 years ago. it will be even worse when In ten more years i'm saying things like "I remember when Pluto was a real planet"
and much, much worse when I start saying things like "I don't remember eating lunch."

I suppose it varies from individual to individual. I know my memory of when I was four is fairly hazy, but I fairly clearly remember when I was five.Vespier Leo wrote:That might not be true in Some cases Brent...

We've predicted the end of the world practically every year for the past few centuries, with varying levels of sense. Personally I'm going to wager that the human race will be around for as long ad I'm alive. Crazy, I know.Coatl_Ruu wrote:Personally, I think 2012 will be just as bad as Y2K. :3
Even if you don't remember it I'm surprised you've never heard of the Y2K scare.sonic id furreh!!! wrote:but i remember stuff from when i was like, 3 or 2RandomGeekNamedBrent wrote:there's a pretty big difference memory wise between 4 and 5.sonic id furreh!!! wrote:i was four when that happened.... i got no clue why i don't remember it
My 6th grade history teacher was on the school district's Y2K aversion team.
A few weeks ago, upon telling him my age, a 5th grader told me my childhood was over.

Re: Chat Thread 25: Restoration
My dad got a lot of Y2K work when he contracted out of state. I remember everyone was freaking out after it.
And I have a childhood that ended early but wants to begin again. My inner child is screaming to come out, and I think I am about to let it out. Who knows what will happen?

If he is dead then wouldn't you be dead to? I think he diserves a second chance.
Re: Chat Thread 25: Restoration
Uh, no, Ves. People kill a part of themselves all the time. Really, it is quite simple to do it.

Re: Chat Thread 25: Restoration
To kill part of myself would take away a bit of what makes me who I am. It is a terible thing to think about.

Re: Chat Thread 25: Restoration
I agree with Ves. I'm me because of every part of my personality, including my faults.
Re: Chat Thread 25: Restoration
Eh, I kill what I need to in order to grow as a person, or if I have to.
I haven't killed much, but I have destroyed a few things, and my inner child was one. He is locked up somewhere in my head.
And Sleet, you are the same, ut on the other end of the spectrum, if that makes sense. You are the good kind.

Re: Chat Thread 25: Restoration
To lock part of yourself away is much different than distroying it.
