Post by 2MKc »

Do you think this is a good idea?

I didn't think so, because I think there wasn't any Dutch users in this forum. :|

Uh.... that's German.

and by the way, you have to use the word "an" in front of a noun that starts with a vowel.

well, as far as I knew there wasn't any italian member when I started translating it in my own language.
Give it a try, then advertise your work to other dutch furries, and perhaps we can get more Housepets! fans.

Deutschlander, Rick, Deutschlander. With an s. *laughs lightly*

Die Deutschsprachepolizisten haben eine Steckbrief für „Rick Griffin!“

Then someone from Germany or Austria comes to boot me in the head for however I've mistranslated that.

(I am Dutch, "high five")

How the... what the!!!
Ether i have a really big hangover, or I have dreamt that there was a topic about this.....
(I am not kidding!)
AAANYway.

To start:
dutch is not German

And to answer your question:
There is a reason I have not made a dutch version.
Everyone I know, knows how to read English.
I can see how it might be good to translate it for the younger audience,
but think I can safely say that they would be able to read it in english as well
(despite there young age)

To say it more Basic:
Because English is like a secondary language in Holland, there is little reason to translate it to dutch.

However, do not let me stop you from make a dutch translation, I will even help you with it if you DO start it.
But in my opinion, it is not needed. :)
"Why would you ever want to connect the dots?"

I think the issue was the similarity of "Dutch" and "Deutsch," which without the "s" is "Deutch." I don't know what they were thinking, really. *shrugs*
