The guy who was in charge of it, Dietrich Bonhoeffer, is known as the last Christian Martyr. He was hung in a concentration camp the day before it was liberated, if i'm not mistaken. The camp was Buchenwald

Maybe, as I said I don't remember it very good. But main target survived and this is the most important ;)

yes, but that was a proximity issue. if it were that close to him anywhere, it would have killed him.

Finally I finish one of three drawings which I want to do. I'm not very happy with them, it's too dark in my opinion. It's my vision of Ying brother - Yang. Still two more to do ;)

It is something to think about If that Bomb had worked.. What would have happened to the war?... Ah well, we shall never know...

Stranger things have happened, and do, with alarming regularity.

Interesting fun fact semi related to this:

The StG44 Assault Rifle was available in 1942. Think about the casualties if that was inducted into service then- The M1 Garand's advantages would be negated... and just good gosh.

The attempt was made in 1944, correct? It was far too late. As soon as we secured the beaches on D-Day and Russia won the battle of Stalingrad the war was essentially won for the Allies (in the European Theatre). But Germany wouldn't have surrenderred. And Hitler would have been made a martyr. Himmler probably would have taken power

And red, it would have done nothing but postponed Germany's defeat. The Russian army would have still won Stalingrad, and the stg-44 wouldn't have made a significant difference on D-Day. It simply would have been an added nuisance

And now I'm back... I went swimming and hit my head on solid concrete underwater while doing flips. That... was not fun at all.

And now to continue onward with teh arts!

that sounds painful.
I'm making a character for the RP thread, so once I'm done making it you could draw that.

It was painful. It made a noise underwater and even left a mark right above my temple. I don't think I should do flips in the water without goggles :/

You know I can do portraits right Brent? But I'll do whichever one you want. x3

And yes that would be nice Bino. ;3

I'm just giving you options. and I think the RP character would be easier to have you draw as the description is already made.
and if I wanted a simple portrait, I could have my mom do it. she's an artist and has nothing better to do.

On a semi related note concerning marks near temples:

I was once shooting a Taurus PT92F handgun(DO NOT GET ANY TAURUS FIREARM), and the 9mm shell casing got stuck in my safety glasses. I still have that scar. It burned through a few layers of Skin, too. So its an actual indent. :/ It hurt like a -Censah'd-, too.
