So, who here plays Warhammer 40k?
I just started last Wednesday. I decided to play as Tyranid.

I used to play, I was space marines, or to be more precise, dark angels.ctcmjh wrote:So, who here plays Warhammer 40k?

Make Pasta not war.
Re: Warhammer 40k
Because I just started, I don't have that many units. I only have 541 points worth of Tyranids.
Re: Warhammer 40k
The only thing I've played that's close to Warhammer 40K is a 40K Tower Defence in Warcraft 3 <.< :p

I love 40k but I have never gotten the guts or the money to buy those super expensive miniatures. I play Dark Crusade though.

Warhammer 40k!
Hey, anyone here play Warhammer 40k?
and if you do what army(ies) do you play as?
I play Imperial Guard, I'm thinking of going Air Cavalry with Vendetta gunships( but that sounds expensive)
I also like using Ordinance weapons such as the Basalisk Artillery or the regular Leman Russ

Re: Warhammer 40k!
I too play~
I love leading the Ork mobs into the enemy’s lines~ nothing as fun as sending wave after wave of troops to overwhelm… win… lose… it all means so little in the end… as long as millions die screaming… I’m happy~
It’s a Massacring and no one is getting out alive! HA HA HAAaaa!

your ork boyz don't scare me!
Mostly the lootas make me nervous because of the interesting banana 3 and the fact that hey took out my Valkryie in turn 2 as I for some reason didn't bother to deep strike or outflank their position

Plus AT-STs..I mean Sentinels are pretty cool too, Chicken walkers need love.

Ah yes, W40K. Totally a family friendly topic!
I don't play, but I like the lore.

As they say~ the family that slays together, stays together!
I love the Lore~ SO MUCH BLOOD! The idea of galactic genocide is the most amazing thing ever! WWll times every planet in the Universe!

This thread already exists here.
In fact, I'm the one who started the earlier topic. It would be better to revive an old topic instead of starting a new one, so I suggest we move this discussion there.
In case you were wondering, I play Tyranids.
EDIT: Kizer, could you tone down the morbidity a little bit? As a 'Nid player, I can appreciate your enthusiasm, but please tone it down a few notches.

Re: Warhammer 40k
I played it a few times in the past, using a friend's chapter of Space Marines, can't remember what it was called though. And I played with Tau Empire too, which I loved.
Also my dad has a large collection of Orks, needless to say he does play.

Re: Warhammer 40k
I'm now scared of chaos space marines now,
for the same point costs, they managed to out number my imperial guardsmen(ironically the advantage of Imperial Guard is that THEY are supposed to out number the enemy) and they pummled my army
then again I invested too many points into tanks (2 Leman Russes with lascannons and sponsons and the exterminator with Pask is NOT cheap)
either way sound chaos marines are evil tank and squad busters
