Things you want but can't afford

Post by Anthroguy101 »

Yup, another thread about products.

Here's my list:
>Tesla Model S
>Citizen Watch
>Casio Atomic Solar Watch
>Ski trip to British Columbia (I can, however, afford the tickets)
>Jet Ski
>Patent Attorney
>Property to start business* (preferably in the Minneapolis or Denver metropolitan area)
>Environmentally designed house
>E-book
>Motorola Droid 2
>Android tablet
>E-book

I know some of you here actually can afford this stuff, but I can't because I don't have a job. I'll start looking for work when my shoulder is fully healed.

*Technically you don't need money for this, you just have to pay it back.

A house. A big house. With a large kitchen. And lots of copper cookware, and three ovens, and a fancy microwave, and a deep fryer, and a griddle, and an industrial dish washer, and a large three-part sink, and various other kitchen appliances and items like a mixer and a quality set of knives and stuff. And hundreds of acres of land. And an even more awesome computer preferably with like, 18 TB of storage, and several external HDs. And a personal T1 connection. And a private library full of awesome books. And every issue of Amazing Spider-Man, and every issue of Amazing Spider-Girl. And a huge box of legos. And a home theatre. And all the Sonic comics. And a aeroplane. And a better tablet and a better microphone, and a better piano, and a violin, and a cello, and why not just add a whole sound studio while I'm at it? Oh, and an ice cream maker. And lots of cool clothes. I like fashion but I can't afford to be fashionable so I wear the same thing every day.

There's a lot more, but you get the idea. :P

I really really wish I could buy a drum set. I used to play on my uncle's set when I was younger and it was so much fun, what I would do to get one of my own.

Good idea! A bigger drum set. That's something I want but can't afford either.

Yeah, I have a standard five-piece drum set. If I could afford it (which I can't), I'd love to upgrade it to an eight- or nine-piece. While I have other instruments that could be upgraded, I can still play almost anything on them, provided it's not too hard for me. The same is not true with drum sets.

I am looking to buy the brain of one Rick Griffin, however I have been so far unable to find information on where to acquire such property and I fear I will not be able to afford it. Links and donations of no less than twenty dollars appreciated.

The entire inventory of my local book store, A private space with wifi connectivity to lock myself and all of those books in, and enough free time to read all of those books!

Also a top-of-the-line computer, and classes for learning certain languages and martial arts.

Yes. I am a bookworm, and I'm proud of it! :geek:

Money on hand. I have enough money in my account for some of the items on the list (all the way up to the Citizen watch), but I'm a big penny-pincher (so "afford" is really all in perspective) and would probably go broke real fast by buying two items on the list. Also forgot to add 12MP 1080p HP super camera.

I bet if I got the patent attorney or the business space I could get to the point where I could afford all of it.

I would say money you have and are able to spend on luxuries. I have enough money saved to buy a bigger drum set, but I still can't afford to buy it.

My list:
  • I'd love a new computer with a Windows 7 64-bit operating system with 4 GB of memory, 500 GB of hard drive space, excellent sound card and video card, HD support, with Finale 2011 with the Garritan Personal Orchestra installed, and Adobe Dreamweaver and Photoshop.
  • A new violin and a Steinway piano with lessons.
  • A Blu-ray player.
  • A brand new house designed for me.
  • A new Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and the upcoming Nintendo 3DS.
  • A whole bunch of music CDs.
But it'll be a while before that can happen. A man can dream though... a man can dream...

I would like to have a prototyping machine and a 3D rendering software in which I can print into the prototyping machine, and an underground cave at the bottom of a well, built and furnished so that it looks like a comfy laboratory.

Actually, it does because I made something on one of them before. I made a dice once on SolidWorks, then, with the file I transferred to another program, and then the machine prints out a prototype in plastic. It's pretty cool; my high school had a license for it for one year due to somebody winning some competition the year before...they don't have it anymore, though...

Also, of all the pictures I took of that class, I had forgotten about that one specific machine, too... *headbonks the wall*

Well, now I know what you're talking about as my school has one, but the cave is a different story.

Actually, the cave does exist...if you've read the story of one of the most sneaky capos in history, he had a bunker under a lake...

Oh, and I have a car prototype that someone made on the machine.

This is a list with some of my wishes I´d fulfill if I had the money to do so ö.ö

>A Tv
>A GOOD keyboard which I can connect to my laptop
>Gems xD
>Several PC games such as TF2 and L4D
>Colored contact lenses
>A house with a good piece of green land around it. The house will be a villa made of wood and it will be white. It will be big enough for at least 10 people, the ground around it will be twice the radius of the villa. It will have 3 stories+basement and at least one music room to play my piano and/or drumset. Also, I will invite my best friends to live there with me.
>A drumset
>A piano
>A guitar
>Lessons for the last 3 things
>My own blacksmith for hobbyblacksmithing xD
>Someone to keep the house and the ground around it in shape. It will be only 1 person, but that person will be well-paid enough to afford own servants |3
>Some personal guards(safety personal) for the house and the land around ^_^
>A weapons license
>Training for several weapons
>Several cool clothes made for me and ONLY me.
>A team of cooks, or if I live alone just one cook. They´d get free if I decide to cook myself(yes that happens =P)
>A gold bar. I like shiny stuff.
>A working, high-quality bicycle. I love bicycling.
>I´d travel a lot to visit all the places I wanna see before I get too old.
>DA premium account, just for fun.
>A Wii
>A Nintendo64
>A DS
>A PS2
>Of course all the cool games for them ^_^
>A driver´s license
>Someone who drives me around
>In a cool Cabrio in summer and in a variety of other cool cars WITH roof in winter.
>Advisors
>The Copyright in England and the USA on the letters T, H, A, E, I, O and U, forcing everyone to pay me a penny they use my letters in their movies or books. If it runs well, I might only charge half a penny, or say a penny for 2 letters.
>I´d pay someone to invent a computer that is muffins and cookies good AND looks cool.
>Paraglide
>Parachuting
>A helicopter
>Lots of stuff my friends wish for ^_^
>Dancing lessons
>If my friends would all disagree, I´d pay people to sing with me from time to time :3
>A wellness bathroom
>A swimming pool
>One of those walking sticks. Cool rich people have those.
>A monocle and a tophat in case I feel eccentric.
>White gloves![clothes I mentioned now are like NOT everyday clothes kay^^]
>I´d invest money in science! ö.ö
>Some cats. Maybe 3 or 4, if I live in THAT big house.
>Dogs aswell.
>An iPod
>A normal mobile phone. Like, no brick, but no hi-tech stuff as well :P

That is just the stuff I get in mind now, there is more.
Also I´d like to mention that I wouldn´t do and have all the nice stuff alone if I was horribly rich, I´d feel lonely if I couldn´t share ^_^

Wait, I just noticed you said you can afford an Android or a laptop but not an electric guitar. You realize you can get them for as low as 100 dollars, right? Or did you mean you already have one but want a better one?
