Nothing a little hard drive formatting can't fix.

I actually have that downloaded. And yet, I'm still using Safari for some reason.

This is a problem.

If Chrome ever becomes the dominant browser, then that would be awesomely prophetic.

I don't use Chrome because there's nothing that I don't like about Firefox. It's secure, it looks nice, and it does what I want. I'm not necessarily claiming that Firefox is better, I'm just saying that there's nothing that's made me want to switch to Chrome.

'Kay, fixed.

Also, and while I'm confident that this won't change your mind in the slightest, Sleet, Chrome is much faster than most other browsers if not all of them.

I'm not denying it, but I've never felt Firefox was too slow. I'm stubborn, but I'm not irrational!

That was really what I meant. I knew that, while you probably wouldn't deny Chrome's speed, it wasn't about Chrome being faster, it was about Firefox being fast enough.

I would go back to firefox, but I'm happy with chrome.
Since I don't notice any difference with speed.
And they use the same memory so I don't see anything different.

(Though Firefox has cool themes, but whatever.)

This guy is probably my favorite part of Firefox. I use the Personas add-on to cycle the theme through a bunch of versions of him. He's just too cute.

That's something Chrome doesn't do. Or rather, it's something it probably does if you really want it to, but it's a lot of trouble.

Oh I use tabs. Though I have not used Firefox in quite some time, (Never on my new computer) so it might be different. But I do know that Chrome is more "lightweight".

I try to avoid using tabs when I can, anyway. When I check these forums I open every thread I want to read in a new tab and eliminate them one by one, and then I usually end up with a lot of tabs open every time TV Tropes kidnaps me, but aside from that I try to get so I can close each tab as soon as possible. I like to keep a tidy workstation.

There's also the fact that Chrome translates foreign pages on its own.

Maybe I want to read all my webpages in the original Japanese so I catch all the subtleties.

Though I've been told real internet fans just read the source code.

Supporters would call it lightweight.
Opposition would call it striped down.

Chrome is a very nice browser all in all, but it lacks that extra charm Firefox has.
Firefox is developed by the community that uses it. Not by a huge internet conglomerate.
Everything is open source and developers can write their own code for it.

There are many add-ons and themes that let you customize and equip your browser with features.
I use Adblock Plus and No Script often. Both of which speed up page load times.

But in the end, it boils down to which you prefer more.
Both are quality browsers and both have features unique to them.

Wait well i use chrome too, but firefox primarilly(that's what im using right now). :P
Edit: One thing i dislike of chrome is the fact that you can't modify outgoing headers, and i used that ability often with some addons in firefox.(well, used to, at least)

Like Sleet said, Firefox is fast enough. But perhaps I will give Chrome a try... Once I feel like trying out new things!

I use Chrome, since it's fast. I need speed. And I'm not too concerned about Google with my privacy. It's not like they have anything to use with my data. I mean, I don't even use any credit card information on the Internet. Except iTunes.

Plus, they can't use my information without my knowledge (though I should check their Privacy Policy and Terms of Use just be to sure).

What's even worse is our computers have a 3 year old version of IE, as if having a current one wasn't bad enough.

Does that version at least have tabs? I don't remember when it was that IE copped that feature.

NO. Internet research is borderline impossible at school because of it.
