POLL: What web browser are you using?

Post by Anthroguy101 »

I would like to make a poll for this all-important question to the geek community. What browser are you using? The answers to this poll should be:

Microsoft Internet Explorer
Mozilla Firefox
Google Chrome
Opera
Apple Safari
Other

But before putting those up I ask people to let me know if I left something out.

No you're not missing any big browser. I'm really tempted to put Other since I sometimes use the text only web browser "links", though most of the time I use Firefox.

I'm using Chrome. It's faster and simpler than Firefox IMO. I'm currently using the 7 beta.

Why on Earth would you use Internet Explorer if you already have Chrome on your computer?

I use Firefox myself.

I kept with internet explorer until only about a month ago for Chrome.

The change is annoying at first, but since all your fav's are sent over...it's actually quite a nice improvement after you're used to it!

Firefox.

The reports of Google's inclination to spy on one's web activity discouraged me from Chrome.

I honestly use a mix of Firefox, Chrome and Safari. I like Firefox best, because of the fact it can save your tabs when you close, but they all have perks I like. ^^
Of course, I'm forced to use Opera on my DS and Wii...

One of my biggest draws to Firefox is the randomized Foxkeh themes, which are super adorable. Trivial? Yes. But it's a web browser. The differences are pretty trivial most of the time anyway.

I used to use FireFox, but I was told to try out Chrome, and for me it was a lot faster.

Just plain ol' IE. But sometimes Safari, and whenever I'm on my iPhone, obviously I use Safari.

Firefox.

I finally upgraded to plain ol' Firefox when Lolifox (which was just a Firefox clone with minor differences) started to fall so far behind that websites weren't supporting it.

Firefox!

To be fair, I never gave any other browsers a try (other than IE). But Firefox is working very well, and I personally don't need the speed Chrome is providing.

I was using the internet back when the only real options for browsers was Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator. There were others, Opera was around at this time, and Lynx, but I never met anybody who used them.

Actually, I did use Opera back then for a while, but I found I didn't like it. I still don't like it.

You also got to avoid strange looks when you say the name of your browser. That's definitely an upgrade.

Firefox for personal stuff, and when on university campus, for longer periods of websurfing.
For quick email checking and so forth, it is faster to use IE (regardless of how much I hate it) because on IE you automatically log into your university email address on the university network, and it is a rather convoluted logging in procedure from firefox.

I am also forced to use IE for viewing HTML coursework, which seeing as my web development skills at the moment are on the simplistic side, doesn't make a lot of difference.

If I have to vote it will be firefox every time.

Internet Explorer lets me read any text you guys try to make transparent. That being said, I generally use Firefox.

Okay, now I think we can go with the poll. Um, Ebly, do you think this should be a multi-select or one-select poll?

I have it under good assurance that the typical IE browser looks nothing like chrome.

Besides, isn't Chrome the newest one of those?
Every new browser copies all the older ones and adds something new for the old ones to copy.
Oh well, they all work just as well. You know... besides IE.

It's not that hard to keep those ridiculous toolbars off your browser, even if it is Internet Explorer. That said, I absolutely can't stand those. They make me want to vomit.

I kept trying to uninstall them, but they were very rude house guests and refused to leave.
