So.. Who is this Rick guy anyway?

Post by FerretWithASpork »

So there's an about page for the comic and it gives some good background for the comic but... who is this rick guy anyway? What do you do for a living? Whereabouts are you from? Your fans have told you about themselves so how about telling us about you? :)

I am a student at University of Alabama Huntsville, working for far too long on my English Degree (with a minor in Classical Studies). Besides the comic, I do regular type artwork and story-writing.

Fairly regular-type anyway.

Some say that he once went skydiving with crocodiles, and that he sips tea made of fire.

Big deal. You should see what we do to the art majors.

SCIENCE!

But yeah, don't start hating. I love to write creatively in my spare time. The sciences have just sorta been my calling as far back as I can remember. So unless I have a catastrophic change of interests then my major sticks.

I love science :) I'm in college to become a professional photographer, though I like to try to be a jack of all trades as much as possible. I do a bit of web design, graphic design, some flash animation, etc.

Who is Rick? My evil twin, basically. xD

He's more powerful even than humans. Also, all the dogs want to be like him, except the lady dogs. They have 'other intentions.'

There's also a strange phenomenon involving Rick, pancakes, and cartoons. You don't wanna know. >.<

actually it IS nanobots and robot arms like most people think muffins and cookies it >U

also firetea needs pure iron, petroleum, dried kerosene (this is where everyone tends to fall apart, apparently it's rare or impossible or something like that), distilled water and a cup. A lighter would be appreciated.
and labour costs are only $50 because i work cheap for people i like. 8B

My major back in Egypt was Cinema as part as my Media Studies, my main subject was script writing, my graduation project was actually a long script because noone wanted to shoot a short film based on a script writen by somebody who can speak a bit of Arabic but can't type Arabic (me  ) despite how according to my professor's had a more approachable budget that what the scripts my collegues chose over mine. And in the end, my project was one of the ones with a more positive reception

I have a BA in Media Studies but now I'm living in the UK, my degree isn't acceptable here so now I have to work in a Bar at Heathrow, I'm planning to take Web Designing courses since Web Design positions are easy to come by.

Well done with Arabic. How good are you at it - speaking, at least. I'd love to learn one of the Arabic languages too...

...good lord i swear i want to learn every language out there or something.

I can speak Arabic a little better than I used to and I understand the words (not suprising when your family's Egyptian), I still struggle when it comes to writing especially typing. I'm an Arab, it's just that since I was born in the UK, my family usually spoke in English and I got used to it so my English is better than my Arabic. The Arabic I speak is considered Standard Arabic and is simpler than the common Classic Arabic, a bit like the Classic English vs American English subject.

Anyway back to the man of the hour (or hours :) ), Rick since you are said to be so cool, have you ever challenged Chuck Norris? :)

Some say he never blinks, and that he roams around the woods at night foraging for wolves.
Others say that every time he smiles, a child explodes.

@_@ well, this is convenient.

But it's good that here on the board alot of people are studying english.

I tried for communication arts when i was in college, but it didn't end so well. needless to say, i looked at college the wrong way and i doubt i'll ever go back.

but if i ever had a second look at college, i think anything in writing would definitely be up my alley, but i rather approach things with raw talent and see how things go.

EDIT: Rick is secretly Bob Barker's nemesis.
