...Seriously? I could barely read that. This is not the first time you've been asked to type like an intelligent human being. I don't mean to sound rude but it's the first thing that's written in the rules thread. It would be a lot easier for us all to read your posts.

Dunno if I posted about this already, but I'm not a furry and don't really have much interest in joining that community. Don't have anything against furry-fandom-weirdos though, whatever makes you happy is cool...

Net-furry: Furry but only confined to the digital cyberspace.

IRL: Still likes animals more than humans, though relatively on the same level.

Careful guise. I don't want this pretty interesting thread to vanish.

I think is pretty much assumed you at least don't hate furries if you join this forum.

But yeah, there are alot of furries here.

Actually, no. And when I was on there, there were no trolls. Hopefully it's not too common of an occurrence?

I completely forgot about that. When I registered, I just figured it was a more creative take on CAPTCHA. I never even thought of it as an anti-troll measure. It's brilliant!

Fun fact: I never had any real contact with furries until I joined this community.

I really like most furries on this forum though!

But some of the questions are really easy. Like the one about the color of Peanut's collar, it's like a Perception challenge with a DC of 5!

No, no I am not a furry.

mainly because, well, I read this comic, aaannd, hang out with you guys. that's it.

also because I'm still weirded out when someone does the anthropomorphic "I'm a badger!" thing. no offense meant though!

Yeah, but even that gets in the way when trolls try to "raid" a forum. Most of them would probably just follow a link to the forum and not even know that Peanut is the brown one on the banner.

It's actually mostly to halt spambots, since those can't answer specialized knowledge questions even if it's incredibly simple.

Okay, I'm imagining you're an eagle right now. Which of course, only people who know what an alot is would understand. I'm also putting my own explanation here because you ever so luckily hit on one of my pet peeves and I need to remedy that.

kemonomimi = beast ears (kemono + mimi)
neko = cat
inumimi = dog ears (inu + mimi)
usagi = rabbit
okami = wolf
kitsume = not a word (fox = kitsune)

kemenomimi is a basically catch-all term for the moe anthropomorphization of animals. cat-people, dog-people, and so on. This is distinct to a zoomorphized person which is more along the lines of what the furry fandom mostly features.

So, we've got a website composed of 75% furries, and 25% who are slowly moving toward the membership booth.
What an amazing website.

Come now Sleet. You can't seriously tell me that being hugged by a big happy furry will scare people away. Trust me, they will soon learn that fuzzy hugs aren't that bad.

Offhand, I can't think of another majority-furry site where the non-furs appear as comfortable and active as the ones here. = P Maybe we just have a higher-quality membership?

I knew. The furry percentage went down without there actually being more than 140 votes, so someone had to have switched.

Honestly I don't see how someone can stop being a furry, but hey, if they think that's the case, fine with me.

I mean it's perfectly reasonable for someone to think "oh, that's all a furry is? I guess that would include me then" and decide they are a furry, but I can't really think of a scenario where someone would think "oh wait, actually I don't like cartoon animals." I dunno. Maybe I'm not thinking of all the possibilities.
