The Welcome Thread!
Re: The Welcome Thread!
Welcome to the forums!
Your opinions shouldn't affect how we view you, nor are they all that you are. We can all get along when we take the time to get to know others. People of various walks of life are here, and we do tend to get along despite the many differences.
You don't have to be a furry to be here, as I'm not, either. The comic I find is just that enthralling.

Welcome NoSoyFurry! You're opinions don't make us not like you. Everyone is accepted here.

Re: The Welcome Thread!
Political and social views do not come into play because our forum rules preclude potentially contentious discussion. When you join Housepets!, you leave politics at the door... though I am somewhat concerned by the line about acceptance.NoSoyFurry wrote:Hi, I'm new to the forum but have been viewing all the comics since last week because of a comment on reddit.
I guess I'll start with general stuff:
19 y/o, spanish, atheist, traditionalist (Not to mistake with conservative) and not so... "accepting" as a lot of the furry community towards some people.
I'm not a furry, but I love this webcomic and it has me hooked.
I hope my political/social views don't affect your opinion on me, but I just wanted to make that clear...

Welcome to the forums NotSoyFurry! I hope that you have a great time here but please try to be accepting of us.
Re: The Welcome Thread!
Thanks ^^ I think we'll get along well. I've not seen much of this forum so I didn't know if there had been any problems in the past on that matter, just wanted to make things clear. I'll be as accepting as I can.

Re: The Welcome Thread!
So... I was impressed by the number of replies to each introduction. I hope I don't get spoiled by your hospitality; It is not a common thing.
woo. What to say?
I like to think. A bit too much, it seems, as I have rarely caught myself doing anything important, being too busy thinking about doing something important. Mostly, I am addicted to stories. Housepets (is the exclamation point a part of the spelling?) was recommended to me, and I was instantly hooked. So much so, that I caught up to the present in two days . After that, I wandered around aimlessly, dreaming of cats and dogs, tripping over furniture, walking into traffic... you know. Story withdrawal.
So, I came here.
On the rare moment that I will be doing something productive, I am working on learning a couple programming languages, writing a story/poetry (I call it poetry, at least), designing an invention, going to college, acting as the family nerd-on-call, and setting up entertainment systems for family and friends. You would be amazed at how often they are needed on short notice (every time).
I am not yet sure what I hope to do here, other than write paragraphs where sentences would suffice, and maybe make a friend if you guys feel patient. I have not yet put much thought to a furry for myself, but I will be working on it. I hope we can all have a good time.
Thanks for reading. If there is anything I can do to help, I would love to know. I can snap with both fingers and raise my eyebrows independently. There is nothing beyond me.
P.S. I have consistently managed to post things like this in the wrong place and format before, so I have become really good at apologizing. If you would like a free sample, please fill out the JustAThought-You-Idiot-You-Did-It-Again form, and post it in the nearest convenient reply box. This offer cannot be found in stores.

Indeed it is, though it gets left out in casual conversation a fair amount, I believeJustAThought wrote:Housepets (is the exclamation point a part of the spelling?)

That was fast.
Thank you for the welcom Saturn381. You shall always be the most beautiful planet in my opinion. (behind Neptune, that is. Sorry. That blue is just my color.)
Thanks for the heads up, Obbl. Diss seemed so kind and fluffy... oh well. Plethora of furious doom-acorns it is.

Welcome to the forums JustAThought! The exact same thing happened to me with the dreaming of cats and dogs and story withdrawal. I loved it!

Re: The Welcome Thread!
I'm not really good at introductions.
I've been following the comic since maybe the 10th or 12th arc, but only decided to join the forums recently for something to do.
I'm hoping to make a few friends and just generally have fun. I'm not really used to forums and such but I guess it can't hurt to try.
Ten points if you can guess who my favorite character is.

Re: The Welcome Thread!
Greetings, sir Roose.
Forums can be a bit frightening at first, like being the new kid at high school. The advantage is that everything that has happened is on record, so you can become familiar with the members at your leisure. Once you feel comfortable, participate. You only get out what you put in.

I disappear for a week and new people show up. Maybe I should disappear more often!
Welcome, Ezaz, JustAThought, and Roose! Great to have you all!
I'm sure you'll all fit right in and have a great time! Feel free to ask if we can do anything to help you out or help you feel more at home while you're here!

Of course this analogy doesn't work for those who are/were homeschooled or private schooled like me.JustAThought wrote:Greetings, sir Roose.
