That's absolutely disgusting. I couldn't live with all those icons. For starters, they ruin the wallpaper!

I really haven't used desktop icons since I got a new computer, I mostly just got through the start menu; also the manufacturers put in a dock for the desktop (a la Apple), which I use occasionally.

too busy with other things... cleaning my desktop has been a rather low priority ever since namowrimo started. (The reason it gets so messy is because I save scanned art and youtube vids - I have a big collection of random cute puppies and video game remixes, and just funny videos - right to it, and then... don't bother to put it elsewhere for a while.) - so after a week or two it would be all bad and messy again. Actually, by the end of today, I would not be surprised if I would need to clean it due to having run out of space.

No, these are the actual flv and mp4 files from youtube's servers. Now I can watch them off-line because my internet sucks in the evening (everyone at the uni trying to access it at once)!

The wallpapers? No. Frooxius did. I used his template for the one with my fursona (to see how'd it look, he's going to recreate it, this time correctly and with shading, and pun not intended) and I only made the one with the equation entirely on my own.

The stuff at the top is Samurize.
It's not meant for Windows 7, but it runs OK. I just had to install it with compatibility mode. :s
I also docked it up there.

If anyone's wondering, its the "rain" wallpaper with the character "matt" from consession. (google is your friend, but warning it can be >PG13 )

How did you get the taskbar to look like that?

Samurize (running in XP SP3 compatibility mode).
It's quite similar to Rainmeter, but it's a lot easier to make custom meters and stuff.

I also made the taskbar higher and forced Samurize to stay on top of everything.

I'll link to the .ini I'm using for the meters and text if you want. Made it myself too.
