Hello everyone! I've decided to open up shop, and I'm selling Signatures! The Kicker? They're all free :)! I've actually been making signatures on different forums for awhile now, and thought why not here too? Please do not confuse this with the other signature thread in The Comic forum. This is for signatures not based on the comic. Though I will make comic related Signatures if requested.

If you would like me to create a Sig for you, you can start by filling out this form:

Size: Basic dimensions will be 400x60 pixels unless you specify
Images: What Images Would you want me to use? (Provide The Image)
Background Color:
Text Color:
Stats: If you want an OOC Stat Sig
Idea: What Are you looking for in a Sig?

Take a look at some of my work and see if there is a certain style you would like to see in your signature.

Please Note: Signatures are done in the order they are requested.

Here Are Some Examples of My Work:

This is a 400x60 Sig
Image

This is 300x60

Note: the rest of these Signatures were made for other forums and are to big for this one. Do Not expect them to be this big!

Oh, cool, more signatures!

Uh...let's see. Since this is gonna be image heavy, I'ma chuck it into the Media Median thread, okay?

Also, our forum has a sig image limit...
Your images may only be up to 60 pixels high.
Your images may only be up to 468 pixels wide.

...but who says these sigs can't be made for other forums as well? (I might talk to Rick about this...)

Wouldn't it be a little detrimental to user creativity if non forum sigs were banned?

It's not that non-forum sigs are banned, example being my second, but it's the height and length that's the problem. Only a certain size is allowed, and the later examples are too big.

It pays to be a college student.
Other than that, Adobe does offer free 30 day trials on most of their products.
It is a method I know as "try it, cause you know you can't buy it."

Here is the trial for:
Adobe Photoshop CS5 Extended

If I were to offer a helpful suggestion, don't use brushes too much. They take away from the originality of the signature. Try messing with filters. You can get great effects from them.

I'm a part time college student too. I don't get any discount.....

Even with a student discount, it's really expensive...

Compare the Student Pricing to the regular commercial pricing.

That's a 70% discount for students, which is crazy. Even still, it's $300...

The Master Suite is quite a chunk of change, but as compared to buying them all separately? It's a deal. But still, Adobe's got quite a racket going, basically a monopoly at this point...especially if they can afford up to sell a product at 70% discount to people who basically have no money.

Is there a reason why adobe products are so expensive? gimp can do alot of things photoshop can but for free. Why does adobe command a $1200 premium on image editing software? Is it because they can? Deeper meaning?

I've never personally used Photoshop so I don't really know what it might do better then Gimp but I would assume that it's because people don't really know about the fact that Gimp can do almost all the same things (and most likely don't know it even exists) and are willing to pay that much. Because a lot of people think that if its more expensive it must be better.
Edit: worded it a little better

As far as I know, the Adobe CS series is the mainstream desktop publishing software, with little to no competitor. I was basically saying the reason they CAN give a 70% discount is because they still get a profit, and probably a hefty one. I wouldn't be surprised if they had the code patented out the ****, getting an effective, legal monopoly, possibly in the same way generic drugs can't be produced for a certain amount of time after the brand name is created and put on the market.

With the entire Master Suite, you can basically do ANYTHING on a computer; I'm pretty sure it even has some programing tool as well. Not to mention that all the products are well polished and are interlinked with one another. While there is freeware, I don't think there's anything else on the market which can match Adobe's stuff...

Allowing them to charge whatever they muffins and cookies well feel like.

It sucks.

if adobe just had one competitor that was just as good as them, i bet the prices would be slashed by 80%.

If you prettify the user interface of gimp, its pretty much the exact same thing as photoshop. The only thing that photoshop has going for them that ginp doesn't is reputation. When you make something in photoshop people think of it as more professional than if it was made in some freeby application.
