I Don't know much about the game. All i know is i have it and i need practice. Is there anyone with the game (its only 10$ folks) that wouldn't mind playing with me online. I could record the whole thing and put it on youtube and stuff :3

So, I now have a Cloud in a Bottle, Shiny Red Balloon and Rocket Boots. If I jump as high as I can from flat ground, I take 77 points in fall damage.

Amazing.

you need one of those horseshoe things really badly

Cloud in a Bottle and Rocket Boots will work just fine in negating fall damage, with the former being the best method.

if you're anything like me, you'll use up all your rocket boot fuel too quickly.

I find that the red balloon is much more helpful than Cloud in a Bottle, I currently use Red Balloon, Rocket boots, Lucky Horseshoe, Band of Starpower and Hermes Boots as my accesories. I think I do best with magic equipment. Any suggestions to the best magic weapon in the game?

I'd say it's either the laser pistol or the fireflower. I personally use the fireflower because I found it unbelievably common, and I used to fire the laser pistol too much, hehe

If I am going to use a gun, I would have Phoenix Blaster or Minishark. I just don't think that the Space gun is all that good in my opinion, maybe if it were faster than I would wear the Meteor set to not spend any Mana while shooting.

I use a bunch of stuff for magic, I find that the Thorn Scepter is pretty fun to use, especially since it goes through walls. Melee is mostly Sunfury and my pretty white Phaseblade :3 And for ranged, I tend to decide between Phoenix Blaster and Minishark.

Phoenix Blaster is probably the best weapon in the game for downing skeletron and the eye of cthulhu, also works wonders in crowd control with meteor shots.
Minishark is good as a mid-game weapon but loses most of its appeal once you start encountering the enemies with higher defense.

With the new mechanics in play I find it best to keeping combat at ranged in the end game to prevent the loss of health but it's a matter of play style and preference.

As for what I use, in melee I switch between Night's Edge and Dark lance for melee. I only use the Phoenix Blaster for ranged combat although I do carry a Demon Scythe and Water Bolt for fun. Other weapons I carry are the Sandgun and Sunfury, with the Sunfury being made to get caught on ledges to provide me with a spike for enemies... Work wonders with Bone Serpents though I haven't tried using it that way against the EoW yet.

I personally beat Skeletron, Eye of Cthulu and Eater of Worlds using only a Phoenix Blaster and Meteor Shots, I'm still having trouble running into the King Slime though.

Leave your game on overnight while you're in a dirt bunker and holding a water candle. In the morning King slime might already have died with all the stars falling on it.

I don't even remember how I got this water candle I have :s

Anyway, it's a bit hard to leave my computer running all night because it has overheating problems.

Ah, then bring a ton of battle potions and keep on consuming them while you hold a water candle and make sure you're in normal grass and not sand or jungle and you should see King Slime within an hour or two. You might even want to kill the monsters you see as that would make the change in spawn even faster. Then again, it's a matter of luck if he even shows up.

Well, I guess it's not really that important anyway, what does King Slime drop? I think the only boss with worthwhile drops is the Eater of Worlds.

I use Night's Edge, Flammarang, Phoenix Blaster and Space Gun as my weapons. My best spell is Aquablast or whatever it's called.

I also have all five "good" sets of armor, which I keep on me for switching classes.

I enabled auto pause so that in mid boss battle, I can switch all my armor and stuff and go from magic to ranged to melee but I will most likely spend most of my time with magic and switch while waiting for my mana to go back up.
