Yeah and I'm sure the spider dying immediately after it made your way to your mouse hand had NOTHING to do with thinking about your fear of spiders.
Re: Art Thread
It didn't. I just decided to give Macabre a vulnerability. The spider, as I said, was noticed when I was originally writing that.
Right, actually made that piece of info long ago, but it was shared in a private chat.

I wasn't talking about his, I was talking about YOURS.
Re: Art Thread
The decision to add that was before I saw the spider.

Re: Art Thread
Indeed, that simple (not uncommon) vulnerability makes him more relatable. The fact that he doesn't like being called "Mac" makes me wonder if he would loath being called "Mac Daddy"... I just imagined Kevin calling him that in Marc Thompson's voice.D-Rock wrote: Macabre being scared of spiders was one of my traits passed on to him. I wanted to "humanize" him a bit, as he was coming off as way too stoic. I had a fear of spiders, so decided, hey, let's make Macabre afraid of spiders.
Harriet's calm smile while holding the knife is unsettling. With that backstory, no wonder why Macabre and the others dislike her. But surely she would get along with Harrison ("Big Ford") of the Roadkillers.

Re: Art Thread
I think that Harrison would try to get away from her at the first chance that he got because he was creeped out by her. XD
Re: Art Thread
Well, I'm sure that Macabre would simply give the same request to stop calling him that that he gave Grape in the Halloween game I made. He's a patient individual, should you avoid certain buttons.
And if Harriet does fall for this Harrison fellow (neat job, by the way), he would definitely need to keep himself safe. No boyfriend of hers has lasted long.

So you are saying she kills all of her boyfriends even if they don't reject her? O_o
Re: Art Thread
Yeah. Due to the curse that made her, she has a tendency to relapse. She finds it fun, usually.

She's like a black widow (one more reason for Macabre to dislike her ). Hey, she at least gives Nikolai plenty of opportunities to practice his craft.
Harrison also has a pretty red record as an elite thug for the Roadkillers. The genetic enhancements he received as a test specimen of H.U.G.E (Humane
Underground Genetic Engineering) include abnormal strength, speed, and reflexes... in addition to being very tall.

Re: Art Thread
Yup, Harriet's habits won't garner a lot of friends.
And wow, Harrison definitely seems like someone you don't want to mess with at all. Nice acronym, too.

personally i prefer Highland Park.
Most important thing I've learned from D&D?
No matter how tempting it may be, as a DM I can't both present a problem and solve it.
Every time a DMPC or NPC fixes something a payer couldn't i'm diminishing and undermining that player's contribution.

Re: Art Thread
I don't like the taste of alcohol at all, just wanted a wine-enthusiast stoat for reasons I don't know.
Like seriously, think the only connection I had was I saw pictures of ermines, saw they were a status symbol, and boom, I think.

He does seem to be incredibly creepy and dark so no wonder why the other celestials wouldn't want to be around him. I can see why the deceased wouldn't like him because they just want to accept their death. Though he does look really nice! Great job!
Re: Art Thread
His response to the souls in Heaven about his use of their bodies; "Not like you're still using it."
It's really not a satisfying defense at all. He just doesn't care.
Anyway, thanks!

Just something I drew for fun the other day. ^^
Douglas isn't my real name, but because of a name block put on me by a higher-order being known as Djinni, I can't say my real name.

That would probably be me meeting with someone from that region and assuming they also knew how to use chopsticks. LOL
Re: Art Thread
Felt like drawing my favorite swords from the Zelda series. Ended up not getting far.
We got the Kokiri Swords from Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask, along with my interpretation of the sword found in beta images and deep in the rom files, the Razor Sword, and the Armos Sword as seen in Soul Calibur 2.
I wanted to get the Fierce Deity, Great Fairy, and Magical Swords as well as Link's Soul Edge, but was not in the mood for all of that detail.
Honestly? I feel that design-wise, the Kokiri sword in Majora's Mask was a bit of a downgrade. Also, relied on in-game renders of the Ocarina Kokiri sword when I should have looked to official artwork.

Well even if you didn't look to official artwork I do like the way that it has come out here! You did a good job with these!

He looks really cool! I love how he came out!
Re: Art Thread
New version of Macabre's Bone Lord form.
As you can see, took a completely different route for how the skull would be. Sorta looks like his helmet merged with his face. This actually proved the most frustrating to figure out. Then I remembered this reference sheet from someone I follow on DA, and used that as a guide.
He still doesn't get any taller, though.

I think you should keep his face and helmet like that and give Rocky the bone helmet but once again, nobody cares what I think and ever will.
Re: Art Thread
It's just the fact that Rocky is supposed to be my self-insert, and I wear glasses. I don't even like hats.

I don't recognize which countries these are from (I am American--possible correlation?), but I think those are really good! You captured the details well! When I draw with markers different colors mix together and look ugly, but you've avoided that entirely.
