Self defense!

Post by valerio »

http://www.corriere.it/animali/11_genna ... aabc.shtml

In short. A hunter shot a fox, wounding the creature, then tried to kill him with his bare hands. The fox struggled for dear life, and somehow managed to put his paw on the trigger and shoot at the man's leg, then ran away, while the vile ape had to be hospitalized.
YAY! :D

I hope the fox lived...

I have no idea if foxes can live in the wild after getting shot. Still, a crafty little foxxy. Gotta say, I'm impressed with that.

There is a semi-famous duck that lives close to my town. It was shot by an arrow, but continues to live in the wild. It is perfectly healthy and the arrow running through his body doesn't seem to affect him. If ducks and deer can survive that, then I guess it is possible for a fox to survive a small bullet wound.

I guess it really depends on how bad the wound was...

It's sort of like getting stabbed with a knife. If blood loss doesn't kill you, then your blood vessels close around the intruding object and heal over. The only thing that fox will have to worry about from the shot if it didn't die is some degree of lead poisoning. And a good amount of pain when when it moves.

New spin on it.

Cost if the fox died? plus twenty dollars.
Cost now that the hunter has gotten hurt? minus upwards of a thousand.

Hummm...

Hunter is probably laid up and in some amount of pain. so is the fox, most likely. The hunter probably won't be able to walk or run quite the same depending on where he was hit. and now he just lost quite a bit of money.

if the fox died, there would've been less pain and probably less loss.

Hhmmmhmmhmhmmmm....

But the good ol' doctor did get a paycheck.

what what? Jolly good time.

In Soviet Russia, Fox hunts you!
Maybe that fox is son of that other fox from a game called 'Star Fox' or something, meh, I don't know much about Nintendo...

I think this is totally awesome. While I prioritize humans over animals, what this man tried to do was over the line anyway. And he tried to do it to my favorite animal. Not cool on his part.
