No, they're not. There isn't really a "normal" color of walls, everybody paints they walls however they want. The most common wall colors I've seen are yellow and white, though. But don't edit the comic unless Rick says so, because the red walls are nice, too.

By all means, point out colors that are wrong, but please post/link a picture with the correct color :)

Some dominant colors are incorrect for that:
Image (dominant colors: red, yellow, brown and orange)
Image (dominant color: blue and black) Image (dominant color: blue and white)
And the Wii videogames slices are primarily white: Image

But your work is very good. ;)

in all honesty, i don't think it makes much of a difference that the games aren't the correct colors. i think that when people read single panel strips, they only look at the speech in relation to the entire scene. like in this strip, we are meant to see the irony in peanut's statement in relation to all of the possessions he has, and therein lies the humor in this particular strip.

of course, if you want to please people who look at each object in the strip, then you can change the color. but imo, its great the way it is.

You know, if you're going to draw a house in a background and shade it one way, it's better to shade it blue, because a blue tint connotes distance.

Ye, sorry about that, it's because the latest one was actually the first one I made ;)
I have noticed it's a good idea to shade to the sky color the further in dept.
I think ill make it a bit more blue from now on, that will indeed look better.

Red walls seem to imply brick to me, though I guess we'd need to see the mortar between the bricks as well.

The "normal" color of a wall depends on its material: brown for wood, grey for concrete, etc. Once you paint them, they are no longer their "normal" color.

Keep up the good work, by the way

I honestly believe that if Rick ever thought of the color of these cats, he probably forgot by now. If I were you, I'd just color them whatever I like.

Currently my P.C crashed due to spy-ware and viruses. :( (I think it might be contagious rick)
I am now reinstalling, so the next few comics will take some time before they are released.

PS, while i was reinstalling I drew something, so i might be finishing that first, it has been a while sins i updated my Devaint art page ^^

Is that why I can't see your posting of the July 11, 2008 strip? The July 9th strip came out beautifully, by the way.

They should all be up on the first page
if the image says Episode: [Image],you will need to wait a bit for it to load.
The first page is getting rather large :S
I have edited all my post on the first page, so the OP loads better
PS. I got my p.c working again, but i'm a bit tired/lazy this week :P

So, it was not easy. I finally decided to color all the arc named "The Grove".
I replaced the white by transparency and I removed the gray fills on the GIMP. Then I opened Inkscape and I have colored the strip by inserting plates of color behind.
All colors used are in the comic. Nothing has been invented.

And here's the result ...

very nice job, :). im glad to see it.
If i wear to go and be picky I would have to suggest making Grapes scarf a bit lighter tone of purple:
https://www.housepetscomic.com/2009/12/ ... christmas/
but, it turned out really nice considering the hoops you needed to jump trough

but if you want, i can make them transparent for you before you begin, it takes me 3 seconds in photoshop
(PS. i lost my color pallet, now i need to start over, but that might be fore the best :P)

I just noticed you left Grape's pads white in the first two strips. I seem to recall seeing a cat's pads be tongue-colored in a strip

edit: I found it! July 13, 2009

The colors of the last strip was being changed.

And now, I have just finished the next strip colorization (more than 24 hours working accumulated). Don't hesitate to tell me about problems with the colors.
