But what if someone else made the call, like a partner, or stooge or if he has his own pack of followers.

Hotep nodded before looking at blood. "my moms clinic is closest. sure its new in town but she knows her work and if it is jag hell be separated from blood. when theres trouble my mom can use morphine or an anesthetic to make him sleep and calm down." hotep said now worried for bloods condition.

“Anywhere...I don’t care...just not the freaking hospital...”
“Let’s so...” He demanded and began walking, tryin his best not to limp or let his injurys show too much. He lightly coughed.

“Well, where is she kid?”

Rav braces Blood up under his good shoulder, and hobbles along with the wounded Coydog..

Meanwhile the animal control van arrives at the main hospital's pet ER.

Nurse, we have a male cat, been involved in a dog fight.
Been unconscious since we arrived on scene. seems to have been coughing up blood.
Ok, lets scan his tags, and get in contact with his owner.
Then get him to X-ray, an see whats going on with him..

Back at home, Melati was watching some Korean drama on the TV when the telephone rang. She was surprised; she have yet to talk to her neighbours, because to be frank, she was a little shy herself, especially when it comes to talking to these 'white people'.

She picked up the phone. "Hello?.... Ya, I am Melati, who is this?... The veterinary hospital?... APA?!! Petir is injured?! BADLY?!"
At this point, the usually demure woman was looking almost aghast with horror, colour draining from her face.

"OK, I will head there immediately, thank you," she said, placing the receiver back. Rushing to get her purse, she didn't change out of her kain batik and pink T-shirt, and she even forgot to switch off the TV as she practically ran out through the front door. She did however locked the door and padlocked it, before running out in her flip-flops, messy hair and all.

Blood went after Hotep’s direction. First with only a slight limp, though the further on they went, the more obvious his injuries seemed to become. Especially the bite on his shoulder and his skinned nose. Neither of which would stop bleeding...

The flavor of his namesake on his tongue only served to raise further cause for alarm. But Blood fought it. He just had to get to Hotep’s house...as much as he hated to admit. He needed help. Jag had really hurt him bad...

“*Keff* *Cough* It doesn’t even matter right now. I need help!”

Blood responded with emphasis on help. He was starting to leave a trail of blood drops on the pavement as he walked, and the flavor of his namesake was getting alarmingly strong. He knew for a fact he hadn’t bitten his tongue during that fight...


Soon they were there, and Blood was staggering up to the door behind the little puppy.

“Errg! Hurry up!” He barked, gripping his injured shoulder.

Rav half drags/half carries Blood into the clinic. Hefting him up to lay him out on the table.
Blood here got beat up in a dog fight.

My owner currently has guardianship over Blood, while his owner is in the hospital way out in Reno.

She picked up the phone. "Hello?.... Ya, I am Melati, who is this?... The veterinary hospital?... APA?!! Petir is injured?! BADLY?!"
At this point, the usually demure woman was looking almost aghast with horror, colour draining from her face.

"OK, I will head there immediately, thank you," she said, placing the receiver back. Rushing to get her purse, she didn't change out of her kain batik

back at the Main hospital..
He is this way miss Melati.
Leading her to the room where Petir was.
He is a pretty lucky cat. given what he went through.
X-rays show bruising to his chest and abdomen. We thought at first he had internal bleeding, there was reports of him coughing up blood. but it turns out he had just bitten his tongue. We have already sewn it up.
That must have happened when he fell and hit his head. he is suffering from a mild concussion.
The vet shows her the stitches in Petir's tongue.
What we would like for you to do is try to wake him up.. hold and rub his paw with one hand, while holding your other hand near his nose so he can smell your scent. An talk to him. recognizing a familiar voice can often help bring them around.

The timid woman gasped when she saw Petir lying on the bed, more so as the doctor explained his extent of injuries. When she told him to get around and meet the neighbours, being injured would be the last thing on her mind!

She was almost panicking and was about to cry, but the doctor's calm yet firm voice held those impulses back. The woman didn't say a word, following the doctor's orders to the letter.

Nothing at first, no reaction whatsoever. Then an ear flick. Some twitching whiskers. The paw in Melati's hand began to tremble, and the eyes opened ever so slowly.

"... Me...lati?" came the ragged whispers, as Petir's eyes blearily searched about until they found her face.

"Ya, Petir, Melati sini," the lady said softly, with a smile.

"Bu...at...sam...bal be...lacan... eh?"

She couldn't hold back, and hugged him gingerly. "Ya, nanti kita makan sama nak?"

"Be...res." Another smile, smaller, yet sincere.

Hotep kindly took the info tag from rav and directed everyone away from the room while his owner arrived with her tools on a small cart."rav I have to ask you to wait over here please. ill call the owners and well get with you when we are done ok?" hotep said waiting for the answer before moving into the room. "ugh these wounds are really deep and hes losing blood fast." hoteps mom said checking blood over before putting gloves on and her mask.
Hotep however stood by a nearby window holding a phone and punched the number in."Hi this is Hotep from the New Animal clinic and we currently have a dog by the name of blood in our office.....He was in a fight earlier and has sustained many wounds and bleeding. we would like you to head over when possible.....we are currently aiding Blood with his wounds. we should be done after some time......thank you" Hotep said over the phone before hanging up as his owner called him over to help with lighting.
"scratch's, bruising, gash's, and blood loss. and thats the outside. Hotep get the scanner please while I close the wounds and get a transfusion going so he doesn't lose too much blood" Hoteps owner said as he nodded and followed directions, he soon left the room for the scanner

Blood huffed heavily and limped up to the door’s threshold, only to be practically dragged the rest of the way in by Ravage. The coydog gritted his teeth in response. He’d made it to relative safety, so by now he could finally be at least somewhat at ease. One result of that being the increasingly intense pain from his injuries.

He winced and groaned as Ravage helped to push him atop a lowered, padded examination table. As exhausted as he was, laying down hurt even more than sitting up. Upon being approached by Hotep’s owner, he lifted his head to make eye contact, but couldn’t even muster any words that’d communicate any further his need for help. He just sat there, hunched over in agony, gripping his shoulder.



The human turned her back for just a moment to talk with Rav and her pet as they explained everything.


It hurt so much...everything smelled and tasted like iron...

The edges of the big coydog’s vision darkened, and suddenly he felt a pang of nausea...

“*gag* *cough* Gonna...*huuurk*”

A mouthful of blood and other vile fluids spluttered out of the injured dog’s mouth before he sharply curled forward and fell off the table entirely, hitting the floor with a soft *thunk*.

Hoteps owner gasped before picking up blood and setting him back on the table. Hotep came back inside with a scanner and set it aside as his owner laid blood back to lay down. "we don't have much time, im gonna have him asleep with some anestesiacs. Hotep grab the suture and some PRs. blood I need you to relax and breath" hoteps owner said placing the anestia mask onto his mouth the flow of the air blowing around boods muzzle as hoteps owner set on small straps gently to keep blood from moving. Hotep came back with a tray and set it next to her owner."thank you hotep. now grab some spare gauze and cloth, were gonna be in here for a bit. and also begin a scan of his rib cage and lower areas" hoteps owner said.

There you go, sometimes all it takes a voice or smell they know to bring them around.
We will run a few tests, then i don't see why you couldn't take him home..
You will need to call us, or bring him back if he starts experiencing any of these symptoms.
Headache, nausea, dizziness, confusion, slurred speech, passing out.
An you can come back here or take him to your local vet to have the stitches in his tongue removed in 5 to 7 days from now.
The nurse should be along with the billing and discharge papers.

I'm pretty sure Bloods bloodtype is on his tag. Don't all military dogs have that listed on there their tags for just such occurrences?

Rav had been concentrating of shutting out the symphony pain he had been feeling, it wouldn't do to have him doubling over as well.. But then he couldn't sense that other part of him anymore!.
Rav was way to late in realizing what was happening, to get past the vet and her dogged assistant to catch Blood before he went splat into the floor among his internal emissions.

he's got a burning/hurting...bloating feeling in his tummy. A sharp stabbing pain here.pointing at a spot on his chest. An his shoulder hurts like all..?Rav stops as the vet and Hotep look questioningly at him.

Rav whimpers.. stepping back, an tugging at the fur along his sides. pulling it out in clumps.

(Rav has shown this self-destructive behavior before, When he gave Magnus some of his chocolate espresso, nearly killing him. When Rav knows he has or should be doing something, but doesn't know what to do, or how to do it. he starts ripping the fur out from his sides. With Magnus his had his sides de-furred an bleeding, before Pav the raccoon revived magnus with an injection of epinephrine )

No hes not hurt so bad that he needs the hospital,we got his blood type and hell be stable soon. that will give us the time to fix his bones and other wounds." hotep said grabbing a syringe and injecting some of the liguid in with the blood IV. Hoteps mom set down a bloody suture and moved to a printer as it finished the chest scans and set it into the light. the picture show two cracked ribs and a large dark area within. "internal hemoraghe from the ribs. Well have to use some stronger anestesias and perform a surgery to place the ribs and find the bleeding. then we check the shoulders." hoteps owner said

The cat had other ideas however. Gathering himself up, he struggled to sat upright on the bed. Melati immediately assisted him by fluffing up the pillows behind him in a comfortable rest. Petir heaved a few deep breaths, waking himself up from the anaesthetics. "Melati--" he smacked his lips a few times, and cringed at the slight pain on his tongue. "--I prefer go back home, rest there. I don't like the hospital smell, and this bed is hard on my back. No problem kan, doctor?" He looked at the doctor.

"B-but! I do not want you to move around that much!" Melati said.

"Alaa, this small pain I can handle, no problem! Even the doctor say I can go back," the cat huffed his chest. "I will not make much trouble for you and be a good cat, I promise."

I was enjoying sunning myself dry watching the clouds drift by with Rav, before all this mess broke out up here..

"Doctor, can we let Petir rest here a little longer? I am OK with him staying in the ward for another day or two to fully recover. I do not want to risk his health any more than now," she asked. It was evident that she was still worried.

We can do anything you would like Ma'am. But i wouldn't recommended a neuter at his age. He jokes, to lighten the mood.
We understand that you want to be sure he is ok, before you take him away from here. An there is nothing wrong with that at all..

The beds in the patient rooms are much more comfortable, you can adjust them to make them harder or softer with just a push of a button. Lets just say these beds out here are made for easy cleaning.
There is TV an the rooms are set up to look like a home. there is a recliner in each room where your Mom can lay down an rest near you..
So what do you say, Would you be willing to stay for a while until Miss Melati feels comfortable that your going to be alright.

Both the cat and the woman didn't really understand the joke the doctor was saying, because they didn't know what 'neuter' meant. That, and Melati's sad face was looking sadder and more anxious by the second.

Initially Petir was adamant in his decision to go home, despite the amenities that the doctor listed out with regards to the patient's room. He scowled at him, admonishing the poor guy for changing his decision at the last minute.

Then he saw Melati's face, full of anxiety and worry. If he'd known better, it looked like she was about to burst into tears again. God, he hated it when she did that, she knew his weakness of being a softie. Or maybe she was REALLY scared about making his health worse.

Nevertheless, Petir let out a heavy sigh and shook his head in defeat, the scowl melting into a bemused smile. "OK-lah doctor, keep me here. But only for another day!" he added quickly. He then petted Melati's head, stroking her messy hair. "This is OK right, Melati?"

Melati sniffed once, and nodded. The cat continued petting her.

"By the way doctor, Melati is my caretaker, not my mother. My mother passed away 13 years ago," he said, correcting the doctor.

Blood shifted atop the table, stopped by the bindings Hotep's mother had placed on his wrists.

He coughed again into the mask over his nose, looking a little dazed.

That was kind of an odd thing to ask. Maybe he was afraid of being operated on in someone’s house...or maybe he just didn’t trust that he was totally safe there.

Though it was pretty evident with those words that Blood was expressing some level of trust in his friend.

"Sounds like fun." Kayla said. "So what do you want to do now?" the fox asked Lucky.

"I doubt he'll see any consequences, since he was the one that reported us..." Cam replied.

We could go swimming in the river, it is safe as long as we don't get away from he shore, and out into the swift moving middle of the river.

Petir is loaded up upon a gurney, and wheeled off to one of the private rooms.
He is shown how to adjust the bed to his likeness.
An Melati is shown how to relax in the recliner, for the owners who are staying with there pets at there side.

A heart beat moniter began beeping steadily and once blood fell into a state of sleep due to the anesthesia Hoteps mom began the surgery that would last fifteen minutes on the chest then another twenty for the shoulder and placing of bandaging.

Rav watches all the activity going on in the room. then he an Hotep are dressed in scrubs, with hats and masks.
Which the vet explains is to keep there shed fur out of the wounds.
Rav then goes to stand way back into the corner of the room, where he was directed to go.
I have seen what we pets look like inside before.. I have no desire to watch you take him apart, and sew him back together.. staying back here is fine..
Wiggling his nose, at the annoying feel of the mask on his nose and muzzle.. all he could smell was what was used to wash it, an the cloth it'sself.
Rav watched as Blood was prepped for surgery.. his fur clipped on his arm for the IV. As she masks him, an works to get him to fall asleep, Rav feeling relieved as well as the pain he was feeling that Blood was experiencing decreased.
The fur clipped over his chest, and shoulder where she was going to operate. the surgical areas were washed and rubbed down with betadine. green surgical sheets are draped over Blood, and arranged so just his head and the surgical sites are exposed. the two then washed there hands and gloved up..
then the actual operation began..
With Rav wincing and cowering pressed back into the corner of the room.. An finally it was done..
Rav was so relieved to get that mask off his nose..
What are you going to do with Blood now? You can't put him in the same place as Jag to recover, I sure that is what Blood is worried about happening..

Rav cleaned up as well, removing Petir's and Blood's blood from his fur.
Then helped them move Blood to the overnight room, an watched as they hooking him back up to the monitors..At-least this time there muted now, instead of going beep beep beep annoyingly all the time.
