Mario was rigid with fear still while Delilah was chewing on some plants that grew outside the cave. She looked them over, checking for any sign of it being poisonous. Finding none, she gladly plucked them and began breaking off pieces to nom on bit by bit. She broke off another piece and held it up to the calming down Mario.

"S-Sure."

The two followed behind everyone else, having a private conversation on Hindi.

"Hey! Would anyone like to try?"

Delilah gestured to the plant.

(Delilah can speak for herself, Flukely. Accidental color)

"Now that question, I can't answer. But it taste sweet, so it might be sweet grass, but I do not know. It's not poisonous, so it's safe."

The roos each accept a bit of the plant and Jake offers Delilah some pellets from his tin in return.
"Huh. It is sweet, like the grass after the rains. I wonder what it is." Joey chews the plant thoughtfully and swallows.
"I don't know what anything is over here or what's safe to eat. That's one thing Met was no good at teaching us. No offence, met, but you're just not a plant-eater." Jake grins.
"Hey, Met, you never answered my question earlier. Why do you have so much extra headfur and she doe- Ow!"
Jake rubs the elbow he's just dug into his brother's ribs.
"Be polite, Joey!"
"Yeah, 'cause trying to break a rib is polite!"

"Oh, that's just a lion thing," Met replied. "The males have a mane and the females don't. Kind of like pouches on Kangaroos."

Delilah took some the pellets, giving one to Mario.

"Had we not been adopted, we would not have known either."

"Maria and Luther are very envir...envir...um. Mario, what's the word?"

"Environmental."

"Thank you. They are very environmental, teaching us about what to eat in the wild."

Mario gave his sister's head an affectionate pat.

Delilah climbed a tree and looked out and around, Mario looking the opposite way she was. He gasped and talked her head, pointing in the direction of a large pond.

"That place looks nice."
"I think it's the perfect place!"
"Let us hope that if it had inhabitants, that they are friendly people."
"Of cou-"

creeeeak...SNAP!

Delilah landed on the ground with a loud THUD and groaned in pain. She refused to move from her spot. Mario, who had landed on her back, hopped on her head in worry.

"Sister! Are you alright?"

"Well, at least we know where the vet is now." Joey quips as Jake bounds to the dhole.
"Blimey! Are you guys okay? Best not move until the vet gets here. We need one of those talky things to call him. Anyone got one?"
"We could make a bull-roarer."
"Not helpful, Joey!"

Delilah sat up and shook her head to clear it of dizziness. Mario gave her a once-over, burying himself in her chest fur in the form of a hug. He let up when she inhaled sharply.

"Ah! Are you alright?"

"I am fine. I simply hit the ground hard with my chest. Ow. There is no need for a vet, I'll be fine. Just sore."

"You might have a cracked rib. I seen a jack with one of those once after he lost a fight to a bloke two summer older than himself."
"Much as I hate to admit it, he's right. Or you could just be bruised and winded. Here, lemme see. Tell me if this hurts." Squatting beside Delilah, Jake begins pressing his paws gently into each of her ribs in turn, working his way methodically up one side and down the other.

Delilah blushed under her fur and winced when he hit the bottom-left rib.

"That hurts. Not badly, but it still hurts."

Mario presented her with herb, which she turned away from. Mario sighed and rolled his eyes, pushing it closer to her muzzle.

"Delilah!"
"Mario, I am not eating that."
"Do you want stay in pain?"
"No."
"Then eat it."
"No!"
"De-lie-la. Eat this herb, now."
"I am not eating th-mmph!"

Mario shoved the herb into her muzzle, earning a glare. She chewed and swallowed, gagging.

"We had all kinds of herbal remedies back home."
"Yeah. We knew what plants were good for eating and for healing there. Here not so much."
"If you knew what you were doing the right plants in the right amount could definitely make you feel better."
"Yeah, but you had to know. No point eating just any plant or eating too much of a healing plant or you could make yourself sick."
"I reckon your rib might be cracked. And I've seen craked ribs do nasty things to animals. We ought to get you check to be safe, Delilah. Can you stand?"

Mario hopped onto Jake's shoulder.

"Oh, it's not a healing herb. It's just a regular herb that Delilah hates, but the taste will take her mind off the pain."

"Yes, I think I can stand."

Delilah, with the assistance of the tree, shakily stood up. She leaned on Jake, Mario jumping into her head.

"I hope you don't mind, but I don't think I can stand without some support."

Mario climbed Met, taking a place in his mane.

"Well, too bad. It's the only way to get you there safely and don't start whining cause Jake couldn't carry you."

If looks could kill, the one Delilah gave Mario could have set him and Mets mane ablaze in a millisecond.

"Right." Joey agrees. Jake glances through the canopy of leaves to the sun, judging its position and the time and using that to guide him.
"This way. Follow me, everyone!" The roo bounds off through the trees, making sure to keep in sight so the others can follow. Unbeknownst to him though, he's now in the Northern hemisphere and as a result should have gone in the opposite direction when navigating by the sun.

Jake returns to Met, confused.
"But... By the sun, North is there so the vet should be that way." Jake points South and then the direction in which he'd just hopped. His lessons with met had focused on settling into human society and geography was not a topic that they'd covered. In fact, the roo is barely aware that he's on a different continent to his home.

"Eh, I'm sure she'll be fine. I've hopped away from worse falls." Joey assures Namine confidently.

Delilah and Mario both looked at Jake like he was crazy. To them, Met knew what he was doing. Mario looked at the sun himself and nodded.

"Met is right. With the sun where it is, North is that way."

"And North is toward the town, right?"

As to being curious as any worldly matter two leopards entered a store. They easily looked around finding little security and found the area where nothing could be seen. The tails flicked happily as they then exited after seeing the register and getting a call from the owner at the vet clinic. The two leopards then ran across the street where they entered the vets office and set the bag at the desk where the owner Sat each had a small sucker in their mouths.
"no stealing?" bandit and coopers owner said as the two replied no.
"good, now you two can stay in the front I have to get some things together. Oh and please remember I need to give you your shots" bandit and coopers owner said turning to face them.

He was a large man with a gentle air to him, not the expecting toughness. However he had to seem this way as he worked with all sorts of animals. His white coat seemed like a costume than profession as he strode into the hall.
Bandit and Cooper both did as told and sat at the front desk counter with the assistant who went on break. Leaving the two tossing a rubber band ball to each other to pass the time.

The roos look at each other and Jake shrugs while Joey twirls a paw around his ear. They know Met knows the town better then them though so they begrudgingly bounce after the lion.
"Remind us to teach you some bush skills some day, Met. Might come in handy."
"Yeah! 'Sides, it's the least we can do since you taught us so much about the humans."

Delilah looked over Mets shoulder at the roos then up at Mario, who nodded. She nodded to him and looked back at the roos.

"So, you two come from Australia? I have been there, on a expedition! But I didn't see all of it. Care to tell me anything about it?"

"Survivor. Why were we even watching that? It was just humans fighting."

"Erm, Australia? Well, it was hot and dry."
"Yeah. We lived in the bush. Endless trees in one direction, plains in another and a short hop across some fields to the drive-in. It was nice. Plenty of space. There were lots of other animals there. Many friendly, some not so much. You'd be woken by the birds in the morning as the sun came up and then we'd go browse the fresh growth and finish up with a good chew of the dry grass. The green stuff was sweet and moist and refreshing and the brown stuff was fun just to chew as you chatted."
"Oh, yes. None of that weird human food or those strange pellets. Only trouble was when it got hot during the day all the flies would come out and get up your nose."
"Yeah. 'Least the gum trees sweat in summer and keep things smelling nice. Everything else gets dry and brown though and it's harder to find the fresh, green grass."
"Yeah but then the winter rains come and everything gets green again. Gets cold too though."
"Yeah. You huddle together for warmth especially on the frosty nights. It's always fun seeing your breath in the air as the sunlight filters through the trees and glows in the fog hanging in the crisp air in the mornings though."
"Mmm, yeah. And sometimes the grass was so frozen solid with frost you got a headache when you took a big mouthful."
"Heheh. That was always amusing! Remember the time you fell in the creek because of that?"
"Ugh. I'd hoped you'd forgotten."

"Erm...." Storm paused for a second , well not like actual pause , her legs were still keeping up with the group , it's just that her upper body seems like they were frozen in time for a few seconds , before the lioness returned to normal and answered with a surprising amount of casualness "honestly , I don't know , I don't remember"
