The Moon Howler wrote:Rex stood silent for a second, before answering, scratching the back of his head in the process "Well, there are two options - either we get out a folding bed for ya or if you're not troubled - we can all sleep on my bed - it's big enough... Your Choice."
I would gladly accept the offer including your bed, but i tend to thrash around and sometimes kick & punch in my sleep. So i don't really want to accidentally hurt one of you, so I'll take the folding bed. Mason said kinda quietly to Rex.

Buster tried to ignore Tara's sadness, but it got hard when she started whimpering a little.
the rabbit let out an annoyed grunt. then whispered, "****"
He turned to the new spirit and said, "I want to be mad at you. I want to hate you. Things would be so much easier if it were the case, because it would make sense. But all my stupid emotions are telling me to do is try to hug you and cry into your shoulder. And that makes even less sense since you're a ghost."

"Buster, I would have helped if I could, but if I talked to you more, your parents would have just upped your meds. And If I revealed myself as a ghost, do you think they wouldn't have called an exorcist?"

"Yes. My dad doesn't believe in ghosts, but my mom does, and she knows some are harmless," he responded, looking at her with a mix of anger, sadness, and forgiveness. "But you didn't know that... I guess I forgive you, he said as the anger left the mix.

Duke was completely out cold, breathing softly and steadily. But in his sub conscious it wasn't as calm as he started to dream about everything that had happened and then the nightmares started as all he could think and see were storms, hunters and raging floods. He turned and winced a little from the experience, moving a bit but not enough to interfere with Rena's work

Gages let out a relieved sigh. "Well that's good because I'm thinking that we could use all the help we can get with this business. Tara have you been watching or do you need someone to fill you in?

"I've been watching," She answered. "You sure can pick who you have feelings for, eh buster?"

"sh-shut up," Buster said, blushing slightly. "I don't pick who I like."

"don't be embarrassed, bunny boy," she said as she went to hug him... and passed right through. "bloody incorporeality. I still can't quite control it."

"I guess I'll take you up on that offer," Tara said. "It's hard to get the hang of being a spirit if you're doing nothing but silently following an old friend."

The spirit dragon only brushed the ethereal form with his claw.
A moment later, Tara became solid! Though she appeared more like a solid hologram, she looked definitely solid enough to touch. "It won't last long, but it should do."

"Thank you," She said as she went to hug Buster again. This time, they actually connected.
Buster hugged back. "It is good to see you again."
"It's good to be seen again."

A smile crept across Gage's muzzle as he watched. It was nice to see something go right after a night of craziness. He remained sitting and just watched.

"well then,
Buster said, breaking the hug. "I think it's about time those of us still with physical bodies go to sleep. It's been a pretty long day."
"I noticed. and spirits can still sleep, it's just not a necessity."
(OOC:Miles was trying to take a nap when we first met him, right? so ghosts can sleep?)

Seth wrote:"Sounds like a great plan. Morning's going to come much too early."
"And with it, my first attempt..." he paused a little and glanced at Tara, "first serious attempt at a romantic relationship."

"Don't lie to yourself, bunny-boy. You were serious with me, you just never had a shot."

Buster blushed again. "sh-shut up."

Gage stifled a laugh, "Well either way, it's a pretty big step. You're a braver animal than I Buster.

"I'm about to start a relationship with a dog that could eat me, and who has another side that would eat me. rave may not be the right word, but love makes you do stupid things."
Buster bagan to craw into his bed which was pretty big for someone his size. "There's ans extra blanket and pillows in the back of the closet over there," He said pointing to a door on the wall behind Gage.

"Hubert, please show yourself out, but could you turn the light out first? Tara, do whatever you want," He said as he set an alarm for when they had to wake up to go see Janus.
with that Tara floated into Busters bed. "This good?"
"What? N... ah whatever, I'm too tired to argue. goodnight." he too almost fell immediately asleep when he closed his eyes.
"Goodnight, bunny-boy," Tara said, kissing Buster's forehead before going to sleep herself.

Hubert did as instructed, and a moment later the room was immersed in darkness, except for the faint glows coming from the dragon and the canine spirits.

<It is not creepy. I study the living around me every moment of day and night, whenever I can. I could describe you what the residents of this community are doing in this moment, sleeping or not. That is how I learn to interact with them should the need arise.

<The people who lived when I started studying them are long dead, they have evolved past their existence, and they are no longer bound to ethics dictated by a cultural sense of shame. And without study there is no learning. Without learning there is mistake. But if it does satisfy your old habits, what I learn is not for divulgation unless required.>

The room around them disappeared, replaced by pure darkness in which they were the only lights... Correction, they and a door. A common door with a knob, suspended in the middle of nothing, waiting to be opened.
"That will lead us into the deepest realms of his mind. Once it's opened, there is no way back until we are done, and your link with Buster will be strengthened. This is your chance to rethink it, because ghosts of your level can grow an unhealthy attachment to the living they are only supposed to watch over. What do you say?"

"Obsession. Which leads to rage, egocentrism, parasistism. What you'd call friendship instead turns into a sapping of your protegée's existence until nothing will be left for him buyt joinining you in despair."

Miles had the needle in the water already. He looked for the drawer that Rena mentioned and found it easy. Without grabbing any, he walked down the hall. The door was creeked open just a little. He took a deep breath and went completely invisible. Then, he slowly and as quietly as he could opened the door until he could fit his head through. He took a quick peek around the door to check on the lady. And she was...
Fortunately, asleep.

Rena, meanwhile, was busy looking over Duke, to see if she could find any more open wounds, aside from where he'd had a chunk of wood stuck in his leg.

((OOC: Yes, I know it's short, but I've been away, I've been busy, and I'm a little stumped on what else I could do.))

Miles softly closed the door. Grabbing the things he needed, he headed back to Rena.

Oh good, first of all, two questions. One, what do you mean your available? Ghosts can just, see each other? And two, am I interupting anything?

No, you aren't interrupting anything. yet. But soon I may be out of contact for the night... and since we can make friends, I don't see why we wouldn't be able to date other spirits.
