"Oh hush hon, it's not our bill," Luke said, hugging Amber from behind. He then went over and picked up a medium sized tent, at least, it said medium on it, and placed it in the cart.

"But, but won't we, or him, have to pay, later, I mean," Amber started to fuss again but Luke put a finger on her lips. She quieted down and looked down, slightly embarrassed.

"There. Nothing to worry about," Luke said, then he led her to the other side, "Let's get you a poncho shall we?"

Amber sighed, and started to look at her choices.

"What, would you recommend Donnau?" She said.

"No you won't have to pay a dime for the stuff you're picking here today." Donau had no problems repeating it over and over, he had done the same with all the new citizens. "Well, you need something like this." He took a folded plastic poncho and pulled it out of its bag. "See? The inner side is covered in cotton. It will avoid your fur turning into a mold mess under the rain. You can remove the sleeves if you wish so. Oh, and you'll be needing these, although they should be in your list already!" he went and took a box marked R-202. "Dehydrated food rations. Once you add water, they'll turn into an unpleasant-looking mush, but very tasteful and filling. There is some jerky beef too. Solid enough to give your teeth something to work with."

This time, Reginald's sword came in the way, and it deviated Levi's attack. As instructed, the pup had bent sideward to his limits, but he had managed not to move one foot.
(OOC - if that was wrong, tell me. I'll correct.)
Levi returned his staff back to the ready position. Then he performed the move again, this time aiming at Khun's shoulder on the other side.

...And again, Reginald intercepted it! He was beaming but somehow he managed to restrain his wagging tail. "Am i doing good? Am I?"
Alyse laughed. "Told you he was good at learning, sweetie."

"Absolutely! Oh and Levi," Khun said, nodding, wagging his tail, "If you have to correct, reverse the move, THEN tilt your wrist."

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Ohhhh! Jerky! Gimme!" Luke said, digging into the box for the package. Amber giggled, then took the poncho and examined it. She tried it on, and only got it to fit about half way.

"Um, a little small?" She said meekly.

"No prob!" Donau took another poncho, this time a larger size, and tossed it to the cougar. "Here, lass, try this. Oh, and the inner side is made of a particular type of microfiber, it absorbs the water quite efficiently, so that you won't risk getting mold in your fur. When it rains, here, it comes down hard."

"Anything ready to show?" the hyena asked. "I need something to cure me of my headaches, and I still must decide if your meat will do, cat."

"I've got this." Shukaku replied, still scared of the hyena and it shows. He handed her the completed drawing of Homer, Atlas, and Cesare.

Amber caught the apparel and laid it on her cart. Then she did the same to the one she was struggling to fit into. Then she slipped it on. She felt different. Oddly different. Good different. But different. More or less like she belonged. She smiled and felt less nervous.

"Hey hon, what do you think?" She asked Luke. Luke looked up from a bag of jerky. His mouth fell open a little, then he smiled.

"Great!" He said.

"Good, now let's get yours shall we?" She said. He nodded, and looked at the choices.

"Maybe we should just get matching colors. Or matching camo patterns?" He said finally.

"That won't be a problem," Donau said. "Did you notice..?" in fact, the ponchos' color patterns *had* changed already! "Smart tissue: it duplicates the chameleon's properties, and will change color accordingly to the surrounding environment. Nifty eh?"

Rain thought it over. "Oh, one to four. Depends if anyone died as of recently. But you can ask them directly, there is their nest." His snout pointed at the second terrace. It was smaller and less luscious with vegetation, but it did offer an impressive view nonetheless. Given the stronger winds at that height, the cascade's spray as it broke against the rock bed formed a sort of cloud rich with all the colors of rainbow!

ooc: Waiting for RandomGeekNamedBrent to post for Levi to post for Khun again.

Luke had entirely finished the bag he had in his paws and noticed. He scratched his head as Amber was picking out the ponchos and putting them in the cart.

"Speaking of more, is there a, uh, food-eteria thingie in here?" Luke said sheepishly. Almost not wanting to ask.

"Not in the Mall, but once we're done here, we'll have your things packed. Then we go to the resort's restaurant where you can have a good meal. If you want you can rest a bit before leaving...which reminds me, would you rather horses or a car?"

The creature reached out to the bar with hi--no, *hers* impossibly long arms. She dusted it and ate it. "We live close to the divinity, why so surprised then? Don't you have a divinity living in your body as well?"

The monkey sniffed at the bar's wrapping. "Hm, human stuff. Couldn't they wrap their food in something edible? Bof! But anyway, fox, it was our divinity who told us about yours, of course. Care to speak while your friends go tend for themselves? And I'd like a sip of that tea, too."
Wrecker nodded. "Time for some R&R, kit. Take your time, there's no hurry."

"Good, very good. Now, young Anubis, quite the name you burdened yourself with. Did you choose it before or after joining your spirit with the one's from beyond?" In the meantime, the monkey was motioning the fox to follow her toward a cave. "We'll be dry and warm in our den. With this moisture in the air, you can't get a fire starting, that's for sure."

"Hm. Names are powerful things, you know. That is why we go by no name, here. So that no spirit can threaten us." They entered the cave, which wasn't dark at all. it was illuminated by...blue lamps? No, not lamps. Bats. hundreds of bats glowing of their own eerie blue light.

"Whatever suits you. You are serving the tea, not me. And those are glowbats. The luminescence is caused by the acivity of the microorganisms colonies living in symbiosis with their bodies. The light attracts insects, and the bats feed more easily. With time, they evolved by developing a keen eyesight and losing the sonar other carnivore bats use.
