The crowd cheered and followed Balkan.

Victor head the words, but he decided to spare these tourists from the sight of a fight. The sharks would keep them excited enough! Once the boat was in the water, he said, "Come on, hop aboard...or are you afraid of water?"

Fighting. Why does it always have to be fighting? Monique sighed to Victor and Maxine. Say, since we'll be by ourselves, you think this'd be a good time to introduce me to Rook? Once we're over the water that is. Monique thought to Maxine.

Hm, I dunno.. We'll see. Maxine thought back as she got on the boat. Rook hopped in enthusiasticly and, almost tipped the boat over! "Whoa!! I didn't know it'd do that.."

Victor rapped against the wood. "Sturdy wood it is, but also very light since it's hollow inside. This makes our boats very light *and* very fast. Humans love to ride them when there are good winds. Even on a calm night like this, you can always have enough push for a romantic sailing."

((well, I managed to get a rough idea of what is happening, and I noticed that it's already night time according to val's post, correct me if im wrong. I'll continue from what Lars was supposed to do.))

Lars grabbed the fishing equipment and wood from his mates and made his way out to the beach, smiling as he turned to the green sphere which hovered around the bathroom window of the bathhouse. <<So remember, demon. Transform into something slimy and transparent. I'll be back with the food and stuff. Wait up for me.>> Lars said, speaking to the demon in his head as he flashed a mischievous grin.

He went over to the cool water washing up upon the shores and began wading in deeper till it reached his chest, taking a deep breath and quickly submerging his body, using his strong arms to swim down into the deeper regions of the sea, using a spear to swiftly thrust the delicate bodies of many fish and using a net to store clams and various shellfish which he found resting on the sea bed. Gasping for air, he quickly ascended to the surface, satisfied with his catch as he bobbed up and down with the wave current.

He swam back to shore, and shook his thick fur. Gripping his spear and net full of catch, he made his way back to the bathhouse again. ''Athena! Diana! I've got our dinner. You can ask Mom to join us outside.'' Lars said, laying down his equipment and working on building a fire.

Balkan lead his two future mates and the crowd to the ring.
Once he got there, he saw his wolves - as expected, but also he saw the guests, which he couldn't recognize, though that didn't trouble him the slightest - Salisgrave always had visitors.

The half-wolf went to the group that was currently practicing.

"Greetings, Varg, Ulv, Ur and Vex!" he announced. The wolves ceased their warm-up and lined up, saluting the half-wolf "Tonight you will complete your final Rite, the Rite after which you'll be recognized as true denizens of Tricana and the Green Ring!" he paused to take a breath and continued "Earlier, in front of chieftain Amelia, I spoke out of anger to you... and now I am honor-bound to fix that mistake - Tonight, the four of you will be fightin' against me in a fair fight! No magic, no sharpened weapons, no backin'."

"Ambassador!" Ulv said, stepping forward "No wolf must fight alone. We cannot accept this challenge!"

"You have to accept it!" Balkan said with serious expression on his face "I won't allow any lycaon to fight beside me now!"

"No lycaons, aye?" Martin said, stepping forward "I'm Martin, Ambassador, and I wanna join that little fight of yours!"

"Are ya serious about that, Martin?" Balkan asked "This is not some sort of entertainment - it's important part of their lives and must not be taken lightly!"

Martin frowned "Do I look like I'm kidding?" he asked "Earlier I had to run from one of your kin, because I was caught unprepared trying to get Mr. Happy..." he pointed at Flint "... Back to the resort. I have me a bit of a grudge, but will play by your rules, should you choose me."

"Quite the spirit you have." the half-wolf said, looking at Flint "Will you join your friend here in this battle?"

The Moon Howler wrote:"Quite the spirit you have." the half-wolf said, looking at Flint "Will you join your friend here in this battle?"
Flint crossed his arms, thinking for a moment. Hmm... So if he accepted, he'd be fighting along side the Abassador. He was originally against the idea but now that he thought about it... This could be a good angle to befriending someone in a powerful position. Was it worth it if it meant getting on this wolf's good side? Maybe. It never hurts to have friends in high places. But fighting... He can't remember the last time he brawled with someone...

"Well, Mr. Happy here is a half blind dog who hasn't punched anything in... awhile. Not sure how much help I'm gonna be.". He looks at Martin.

"But, if Martin's okay with it.". He shrugged and smirked. "I don't mind taking a few hits.".
"What do you think? You want me at your side or on the sidelines?". He asked the shepherd.

"Stay behind me and act naturally is what I'll say!" Martin said.

Balkan sighed and put a paw on Martin's and Flint shoulders "Come on now, Martin, dun be rude to Happy." he said to Martin, then looked at Flint "An' Happy, are ya sure ya wanna join the fight? From what I heard, yer not quite fightin' material an' the boys won't back up just because of that. Are ya sure ya wanna fight?"

Martin rolled his eyes "Fine, fine, I won't be rude!" he said and turned to Flint "It's not my choice whether or not you'll join the fight... bro... just don't get beaten or I'll be the one held responsible..."

"It's Flint, actually.".
He grinned and looked at Balkan.

Balkan nodded "Very well!" he said and turned to the crowd "The side were chosen!" he announced "Faye will announce the beginnin' of the fight! Now it's time for each of the warriors ta pick their weapon of choice!" he announced and took two training swords.

Martin took two staffs and handed one to Flint "Take this and stay safe. I'll deal with them."

Ulv choose a sword and a shield, Varg choose two clubs, Vex and Ur chose staffs. The four gathered around in one of the sides of the arena to discuss their strategy.
"I'll go for Balkan." Ulv said "I suggest Varg and Vex to take down the bolder tourist, then take care of the white one if Ur is still toying with him. Then we'll take on Balkan."
The three wolves agreed. They once again lined up. "We are ready!"

On the other side of the arena Balkan and Martin stood side by side with their weapons drawn, waiting for Flint.

Monique clapped her tiny paws together. She then flew over to Rook's head and landed very softly. Remembering what happened last time, she decided to take it slow. Not wanting the cat to fall into the water and add to the shark's welcome meal!

As he said, Ulv charged against Balkan, but Varg winked at Vex before colliding with Martin.
Vex grinned and along with Ur, began a dangerous offensive against Flint, pushing him away from Martin and slowly, but surely overwhelming him. While one of them was blocking the white dog's attacks, the other was giving him painful hits.
Ulv was slowly, but surely pushing Balkan backwards, causing the half-wolf to focus solely on him. Varg was giving Martin bad time as well.

"Okay, guys. C'm- Ow. C'mon. Is this really- Ow. fair? I'm not even the good one!"
Flint had given up trying to land some blows on Vex and now focused all his energy on blocking and dodging (at least he was good at doing the latter).

Okay Flint, now would be a good time to pull out all that martial arts stuff you learned from watching all those movies. Remember all the greats. Jackie Chan? Bruce Lee? Chuck Norris? . The dog desperately tried to think of a scene from the movie that one of the mentioned, turned a losing fight around. None came to mind at the moment. He dodged to the left, (got hit on the right) ducked under one aimed for his head.

And in a split second decision, grabbed a handful of sand, and threw it in the two wolves faces before... doing what he knew he was best at. Running(making sure to stay inside the circumference of the circle).

"Ah, my eyes!" Vex grumbled, wiping sand of his face.
"You're gonna pay for this!" Ur growled.

In mere seconds both wolves managed to clean their eyes and rushed after the white dog. Vex threw his staff like a spear and managed to hit the running canine's knee pit*, while Ur used his staff to pole-jump, hitting the poor dog in the back with his feet. Vex took Ur's staff after him.

Flint... wasn't sure what happened for the next few seconds. But, somewhere, in the mix of all that was happening. He was pretty sure he did a barrel roll.

But he managed to stagger to his feet, staff held defensively in front of him. The losing battle wasn't getting any better, he'd just have to do the next best thing...

It'd take them a second to get to him, he used it to see how good the others were fairing before refocusing on the two that were already on his tail.

"Flint!" Martin shouted as he saw the other canine falling down. This enraged the shepherd. He turned to Varg and with a quick reaction managed to block his attack.
"Ambassador, you mind taking your buddy for a while?" the shepherd shouted at Balkan.

At this moment the half-wolf was just tore Ulv's shield apart and kicked him backwards. "I dun mind! Toss him!" he answered

"One wolf coming right up!" Martin replied and swiftly counterattacked Varg, smacking him a few times with his staff, then thrust it into the ground, swinging around it and kicked Varg in his chest, causing the wolf to fly in Balkan's direction and collide with Ulv, who just managed to stand up, causing both wolves to fall down again.
As far as he could tell, the fight was closing it's fifteenth minute, so Martin didn't hesitate. He quickly pulled the staff out and rushed to help Flint.
Roarin wrote:It'd take them a second to get to him, he used it to see how good the others were fairing before refocusing on the two that were already on his tail.
It took Vex merely a few seconds to reach the white dog, but he didn't engage before Ur could grab the dog from behind, quickly disarming it and locking the dog's arms with a tight grip.

Two thoughts occupied Flint's mind in that moment. One was that, in retrospect, this was probably a bad idea to begin with. And the second was that. He realized... he remembered exactly how to get out of the predicament he was in (conceptually).
Okay okay okay. First... Use free ligaments to damage enemy. Hopefully loosing grip in the process. He did this by stomping on Ur's foot.
Second err... bend knees, and at the same time, push elbows outwards, and back. Flint felt him hit the wolf in the sides.

While Flint did manage to cause Ur to loose his grip, he also gave Vex a good reason to strike the white dog's stomach a two times with his staff.
Before Vex could strike Flint's head though, his strike was blocked by another staff- Martin's staff.

"Take someone your own size!" He growled and gave the wolf a nice kick in the stomach. After he gave Vex a distraction, he turned to Ur, frowned and slammed him in the head with his staff, causing him to let go of Flint. "Stay behind me!" he said, as the two wolves took their staffs from the ground, facing the shepherd.

On the other side of the arena, Balkan was slowly wining against the combined actions of Ulv and Varg, pushing them both back with little trouble. In fact the two wolves had quite the bad time dodging and parrying his attacks.

Martin waited for Flint to get behind him, then looked at the two wolves. "Now about you two - I'll teach you bully someone weaker than you!" he growled and jumped at Vex. The wolf managed to block his spear, but was not prepare for the kick that was coming afterwards. Vex took the kick in the chest and flew backwards, dropping his staff.

While Martin was handling Vex, Ur tried to attack him from behind. The moment the wolf swung, Martin stepped aside, causing the lupine to miss. Then with a single strike with the staff in the head the shepherd knocked Ur out.

Right after that Vex tried the same thing with a partial luck - he at least managed to hit Martin's staff. However, that didn't do much more than give the shepherd the time he needed to finish his second foe. A second later the wolf fell on the ground, receiving the same treatment as his brother.
"Done!" Martin said. "It should have been more than 20 minutes now." he looked at Balkan "Ambassador?"

On the other side of the arena, Balkan was just finishing both wolves and had just sent them to the ground after disarming them. Both Varg and Ulv had no choice but to surrender. At this moment he heard Martin calling him. "Just finished!" he answered back.

"I'm Martin Johnson." the shepherd said and pointed at Flint "And he's Flint Johnson."

The half-wolf raised a brow "Who's yer owner?" he asked, looking at Flint.
