Joy: We had a Computer Science Midterm today (on Java) and it was super easy.
For example, this was one of the questions.

Question #5:
Assuming that the rest of the code is correct, why won't this compile? Find the mistake(s).

private void init()
{
int x:
x = 5;
}

public int cude()
{
return x*x*x:
}

oh yeah. Can't access x in the second function cause x is declared in a private function.

Nope. Private or Public, X is still a variable that equals 5, in all routines of that particular class. The fact that it's private makes it not interfere with other java files in the same directory.

Look closely at the first line, and I guess we can finish this conversation with PM's because were deviating from the thread topic.

Joy: I got a lanyard that says "Brony" on it.

Sorrow:Today sucked. We found asbestos in the frat house (whch we covered with some duct tape, but long term we're going to need to figure out a solution)
Tigers lost
My new hat is ruined
My group presented in philosophy today and I don't think it went particularly well
I still have 30 pages to read and math homework.
Joy:Day's almost over and I'm still seeing RZA friday.

Sorry to hear that, kuro. :( If you need to talk, you may (via PM). But do try to remind yourself of the positives, because they're always there.

Ich: Two weeks of stress and not enough sleep have blessed me with some sickness
BUT the flipside is that everything that's been stressing me has passed, I think and I can kind of just take advantage of this excuse to rest. I probably shouldn't say that because this whole year has just sort of been a series of increasingly stressful situations but I think I've pretty much hit the breaking point on that.

Sorry to make you worry, I'm okay now, managed to open myself to my friends. Let's hope it stays this way longer ^^

Sorrow: My cat is snuggly no more. :cry:
JOY!: I got used Swiss Army Knife! (Soldatenmesser 08)
I should be really careful with this one. it's kinda dangerous. I carry the red one with me all the time, except when I go to school, but I'm not carrying this around with me unless I'm going to camping or something.

Joy: Little sister found a neckerchief in her room that she had no idea was there, decided she didn't want it and gave it to me. NAOW I HAS NECKERCHIEF! Not as good as that pocket dragon's one but at least I have one now.

Sorrow: Dvd player downstairs has died. Bit unfortunate but made worse seeing as I'm getting blamed for it. It was dying long before I touched it anyway AND it completely died when someone else was using it. LOGIC MAKES NO SENSE. Though I gotta be blamed for something every few days so I guess this will have to do. And I'm getting blamed because my dad's computer is getting viruses...any ideas how that makes sense? I haven't been near it okay just so we are clear on that!

Joy: Little sister comes to the rescue proving how nice she is again. She takes her PS2 out of her room,sacrificing her gaming time just to plug it into the TV downstairs so we can watch dvds again.

It has been too long since I have seen decent looking apples. I'm getting ready to have a few right now.

Sorrow: My hand looks...well bad to be honest. I think I have broken it or at least fractured my knuckles. Mum doesn't want to bother taking me to the hospital though. I'll just wash it and bandage it myself then. Can't do my geology essay though. Typing with my left hand is a chore. I'll get shouted at by my teacher but I can't do anything about that. No games for me for a while. Time to find a book or a bunch of dvds.

Oh it can be. Just sit down forget everything and do something fun. Even if it's something little like going to your favorite restaurant or whatever. Just remind yourself that you are capable of having a good time. (or at least that's my two cents on it)
Joy:Goin to see Waka Flocka with my best friend this week. I AM MORE PUMPED THAN WORDS CAN DESCRIBE.

Sorrow: :( I'm tired of being self-centered, impatient, angry, ungrateful, bitter, and hurt, and making a total jerk out of myself, especially over what I know (but do not feel) to be unimportant matters. Thing is, nothing seems like a better alternative, or one which I think I can do. It seems like I can't do anything that doesn't result in pain of some kind, and that makes me more frustrated. I feel like I'll be stuck like this...

Chin up. There's always a solution :)

If you think it's your attitude that's causing it, try to find ways to work around it rather than forcing yourself to keep doing what you're doing to make it more positive.

I just keep repeating to myself, I can make through Wednesday, I can make it through Wednesday. XD

No, seriously, between marching band and dealing with someone who I've discovered is completely off their rocker, I've gotten so behind on everything. XD But I can get it all done; I've had far worse.

Joy: Most epic final argument ever last night and I got the very last word. I've finally stood up for myself, and it feels great.
Eh: I got nothing done for Physics last night, but my goodness, it was worth it.
Joy: I toured the college of my dreams on Saturday. had the best time ever, and drove home to help win three trophies at the band competition. I had some massive sleep deprivation by the end of the day, but it was so worth it!
Joy: I'm really just happy with my life right now and that's fine with me! After everything that happened a few months ago, I met my crap quota for a good while. XD
