Joys And Sorrows

Good Day to All

This is the Joys and Sorrows thread, since this forum often involves people making "updates", as it were, about their lives I thought that this particular thread would thrive.
So this is what you do; just write some particular development in your life (which can be as trivil or serious as you wish), then at the top rank it as a Joy or Sorrow to indicate whether its a positive or negative development, then post.
And it goes without saying to follow the forum rules, and make sure you use your common sense when posting on this thread (meaning don't post anything you would rather not let anyone know about).
So, since this is my thread, I will start:

Joy

I keep getting good marks in my tests and essay papers which on average is a B, I just need to be able to get this or higher in the exams, I do badly in exams.

One final note/plea: If you comment on someones Joy or Sorrow then please try to keep your comments positive.

MOD EDIT: Vague joys and especially sorrows are not allowed. "Joy: my life is awesome!" and especially "Sorrow: everything sucks..." are discouraged. Please elaborate on why you're happy or sad and we're all good. :3

You know you don't have to just talk about school, you could talk about:
Romance
- People you fancy
- People you've gone off
- And any past, present, or future relationships
Friends and Foes
- New friends you've made
- Old friends you've lost
- Any particular rivals or foes
- And anything about the development of your relationship
Family
- Good family relations
- Bad family relations
- Or your own family (as in you, your partner, and children if any)
- And general family situations and events
Career
- Your current job
- Your next promotion or goal
- And any good or bad occurrences at work
Others
- Social gatherings
- Charity work or hobbies
- And anything else which is part of your development in life.

I've been suffering with procrastination recently.

Last weekend I went to a family reunion. It was the first one I had been to in a while, and I got to see some relatives that I hadn't seen for a long time. I found out that the old guard is still alive and kicking.

Neutral territory:

It was at the ancestral burial grounds ( a church), so I visited a few family graves to pay my respects. It was a good experience for me; even if I didn't know them, they were still family.

An hour and a half of paper writing... thank God I'm almost done. (Then I get to type the bibliography and title page.... yaaaaay. >_< )

Mine neither!

Sure, my house is nowhere near the tornado, but isn't that in itself enough to be joyous of?

My organic chemistry lab instructor decided that even though lab was canceled for two weeks, the online submission that's due before each class would be due last week even though there was no lab. I just now found that out after finishing it and trying to submit it.

I suspect a girl at my college fancies me, I keep trying to tell myself its just my paranoia or my imagination but she keeps giving me looks and she has gotten distant from her boyfriend lately. I worry that something might happen at some point, which will mean a lot of problems since I have no interest in her.

SORROW !!!

I went to the theatre because I go invited to a performance called " Casimirus & Caroline". And I must say that I've wasted 2 hours of my life there! The actors were behaving like they were idiots and that wasn't making situations look funny. There was a lot of "extraordinary" epithets and I did not know what the entire plot was all about. There was a lot of daub in this performance. I sorrowfuly regret that I went there. It's my last time I went to this theatre, as long as they have their current director.

@Psyke - Yes...I don't know what to do though...I just hope she goes off me real soon because I get rather unconfortable in class especially since I (unfortunately) sit next to her.

Sorrow

I got Joey as the Housepets character I am most like in Psyke's quiz

Joy

I hope that I will finally be getting rid of the pile of college work this week giving me the weekend off, plus me getting a new game that's coming out at the end of the week will feel more like a reward than just me being greedy.

-Everyone has a love life at a certain age.
-What quiz?

Joy
-I noticed that people become happy when they don't know what's wrong. Let's leave them that way, for they'll really be sad when they figure out what's wrong anyways (if they ever figure it out..), but at least they were happy.

Why not just go up to them and talk to them, they (that someone you want to talk to) will not get hints, and the like, because they will not know for certain that your interested in them. And maybe they might feel the same way about you. ;)

they're just saying a person they want to talk to isn't online. like. on the internet.
