So, good news on my end. Interview today.
Most important thing I've learned from D&D?
No matter how tempting it may be, as a DM I can't both present a problem and solve it.
Every time a DMPC or NPC fixes something a payer couldn't i'm diminishing and undermining that player's contribution.

A bit of both;
Joy: We found a kitty cat! It came up to our door while it was storming. SUPER sweet cat. It loves cuddles, gives lots of kisses, and enjoys being pet.
Sorrow: We can't keep it. We have yet to find the owners, but we are going to probably take it to the pound.

Re: Joys And Sorrows
Well I talked to one of my managers and she said that I shouldn't go. She said they would help me out with more shifts or I could work mornings or be host. The problem is the pay because since I'm a server I get less per hour because I get tips but barely because people are cheap. So I said I would see how the rest of July goes.Sleet wrote:What's your new plan, Furryface?

Re: Joys And Sorrows
Rage : someone reported my facebook account under fake name , which is true, but that "fake" name is my consistent internet name through everything , games , chatroom, forum, it's literally what 90% of my friends know me by. Even my real life friends call me "ser" most of the time, but, since it's a fake name and facebook demand ID, I can't get my account back without changing into my real name, which would confuse all of them anyway because they don't know my real name, I have always been Serence to them, to all 250+ of them. So even if I do that I would still have to contact each and everyone saying "hey it's me , ser, I got forced to change into my real name , so yeah, this is gonna be confusing", and i'm not gonna risk the only peace i have online by giving away my name like that.
Sorrow: I lost like, a lot, friends I only keep in contact after the games we played together shut down , friends from high school and college, some people I watch from the distance, just to be able to tell myself that "yeah, they're still ok". I can't even tell them that i'm gone because there's no other way to contact them, and some of those people I don't want to actually talk to them, explaining things and open up old wounds again. What worst is that i've been telling myself that I would definitely quit facebook no problem, and yet this still bothers me, a lot.
Joy : a little joy though, 2 days from now I will have a very special day.

Re: Joys And Sorrows
sorry to hear serence, I know Karishad had that happen to him a while back. I don't remember how he got around that, it's stupid that they don't accept nicknames, they really need to fix that. you could try a new account but you'd have to re-add all those friends. and the same thing could happen.

I got around that by photoshopping my ID card, Facebook's administration is a bunch of info-scavenging, incompetent scumRandomGeekNamedBrent wrote:sorry to hear serence, I know Karishad had that happen to him a while back. considering they can be talked into creating exploitable loopholes in nearly all of their rules, id say more lazy than incompetent.

Sorrow: my family had to put our cat down this morning. He was really getting old, to the point where he had trouble controlling his bowel movements. I made sure I was with him when he died.
Play The Hayseed Knight. This isn’t self promotion, I just really like the game.

Sorry to hear that. Your cat probably had very happy last moments at least.
I think there's a nickname option! So you could be shown as "Firstname 'Serence' McLastnamerson" or something.Serence Frostbite wrote:Rage : someone reported my facebook account under fake name , which is true, but that "fake" name is my consistent internet name through everything , games , chatroom, forum, it's literally what 90% of my friends know me by.
