I have literally slept through an earthquake.

I definitely didn't get that from my mom. Anything wakes her up.

Geez, how can you all stay up so late. I can just about make it to 1am and even then I am so tired I feel like I'm the walking dead.
@ Sleet - I have slept through an earthquake too (well, not really an earthquate but more like a tremor but it woke up everyone else though).

My mom is the total opposite, NOTHING wakes her up.

I slept through the hurricane that came through the Carolina Coast in the Fall of 2007.

Both of my parents are light-sleepers.
I'm the exact oppsite, obviously. Every single fire alarm went off in our hotel the night of the hurricane, and I never woke up. =D Thank God it was faulty wiring, not an actual fire. o.O

I've done that. Only thing was, it was a 3.6 and nobody knew it happened until it was on the news the next morning.

Because the chat thread is about nothing and everything.
Speaking of sleep, I should be getting to that soon...

I am a heavy sleeper, and that is a bad thing. I slept through a night where the house next door was on fire. The fire trucks sounding, the yelling of my family and neighbors, not even the light and smoky smell could wake me up. Of course, it was also bad since my sister and cousins would always play pranks on me while I slept. I am like a corpse when I sleep.

The average college student gets less than three hours of sleep per night. Don't turn into the average college student, I don't even remember most of those four and-a-half years. *laughs*

Now I feel better about my sleeping habits.

i belive that the reaction produced in the brain as a result of sleep may be as addictive as any other reaction, for instance, drugs.

yes im proposing sleep is an addictive substance, why wouldn't i?

You can't really call it addicting if you need it to live.

I heard about someone who's been sleeping for the past 5 years. And guess what? They're dead!

I have insomnia, so I don't get much sleep. I take melatonin supplements and drink tea before bed though, and that really helps.

I like sleep.

My internal clock won't let me sleep for more than eight hours at a time. I wish it had a snooze button.

Why would you want to? Eight hours is plenty. Any more and you're wasting your life away.

Why? You don't even experience it. It just... Happens.

Plus you would start oversleeping which could cause health problems.

And this brings back my original problem. I feel tired even if I only sleep for 8 hours, but I still feel tired when I sleep too much, and sleeping less than 8 hours also makes me tired.

Why do you torment me so, sleep? DX

(9 to 10 hours seems to be the perfect amount of sleep for me though... :P)

Different people in different age ranges require different amounts of sleep to feel right, and it varies from person to person.
