I can never really remember my dreams long enough to jot them down. Well save for the fights I have with my dead grandmother.

I have really bizarre dreams. I had one recently where I was getting married (no idea to whom) and I was at my engagement party and they were going to drink a toast to me so they all went into my laundry and toasted Queen Elizabeth II at the same time because apparently it's traditional to drink a toast to her from the laundry at the same time as you drink a toast to anyone else. 0.o

I dreamed a lot ever since I started my new medication, but most of them are just alternatives to whatever was happening in my life or whatever I was thinking that day, so I never really paid any attention.

But this morning, when I finally got to sleep at 6am, I had a sort of vivid surreal nightmare. I dreamed that I had to take several exams for subjects that I never really studied enough in one day, forgetting that the exam date is that day. The first one I took was a nightmare, and I remember the answer sheets being messed around on the table, only managing to answer half a page of a 10-page exam paper (I think it was Chemistry) before time ran out. I was crying by the end of the paper, and before I could even recover, I needed to sit for an English paper right after that. I managed to answer it pretty well, considering the situation but still only managed to fill up the answers to half the paper. The next day is History, and I think I... became so depressed about the one subject I was really weak at that I killed myself.

My bed was wet with sweat when I woke up at 10. My heartbeat was racing. Talk about crazy dreams.

But then again, I had been delaying on the progress of my final year projects, and my old habit of wanting to run away from it all is kicking in again. Gotta fight this and rush everything. I disappointed myself for way too many times already...

My worst nightmare would be not turning up to any of the exams, at least half a page would get you something.
I think your mind is just trying to mess you up Kuro, you will never have to do those exams nor what they incorporate. Ever. Just pay no heed to it, the dreams are probably a way of venting your fear and anxiety that's getting pent up.

Heh, tell me about it.

Got two more dreams that I feel like sharing. The first one happened when I had an evening nap, and I dreamed that I was waking up from my nap and saw my roommate on his desk, back from work. I tried saying hello, but the I felt so sleepy that I simply fell asleep again. Then I woke up, and struggled a bit to try again, but the sleepiness won, and I fell asleep yet again. I think this repeated about 7 times, waking up, try to talk, then basically fainted again. At the 7th time, I said, "Fudge it!" and fell back asleep proper, then getting a normal dream involving teachers and computer servers. When I FINALLY woke up from the nap, and I saw my roommate at his desk, I was a little apprehensive about saying hi, but this time it's real.

Heh, there's an old wives' tale here that if you nap in the evening for 40 days straight, you'd become crazy. I'll try not to again :?

The second one is more interesting, and surprising to say the least. I dreamed that I was watching Rick draw a few of his own characters in his default style, and he tried to draw a comic based on it. I think it was Adrian, the mom kangaroo and her best friend (which for some reason is a bear in the dream, because I think she's a different species). The comic was about how Adrian's friend couldn't conceive a child, and Adrian herself in the end offered her son (I think) and said they could take care of him together.

My dream last night was weird. I was shopping for something that was sold out, yet it was being restocked and yet I was fighting a rush of so many people trying to get in line and get back to that item. Other then that, I can only really remember bits and pieces of dreams that I've had this week so far, but I'm going to start taking dreams I have on Friday and Saturday and try really hard to retain pieces of them so that I can post about them to this thread if people want.

I dreamt a few nights back that I was at the lake near my home and I was trying to eat prickly pears and strawberries but Baloo the Bear was there singing "Bare Necessities" and he and that cheeky monkey from "I Wanna Be Like You" were eating all the pears and strawberries before I could get to them. Random. :P

But there is an extremely strange dream I remember (partly) from a while ago.
With some guys (don't know anymore who) I went to a chineese restaurant. But instead taking seats we were in the kitchen, where strange thing happend. They were cooking chicken soup in the dishwasher, and really small people, maybe 15-20 cm, were walking in the soup stearing it which was only on the ground in high of the lower spray arm. Then a waiter walked by with something that was called octopus salad. It was basically a plate with a pile of rice and on top there was one of the minecraft octopusses flapping with his arms. The last thing I can recall was a bowl of cigarette soup which was a clear soup with whole cigarette packets in it.

I had a dream last night where Rick drew a Housepets comic. Go figure. =P

Keene was apparently playing Doctor to Grape. The background was exactly the same as the Vet arc, too. Keene had to deliver bad news to Grape, however, he blamed the bad news on the fact he was playing videogames (He even said this to her while playing them infront of her) while not paying attention on her recent check-up and has to redo the whole thing over again. cue last panel of Grape drawing her claws with a straight face.

Also, this arc's title was another arc with all caps.

I had the most awesome dream last night (for me)!!!! It wasn't one of my dreams that I was able to write down into a partial story, or even a recurring dream (I swear I have the same dream exactly every year).
I'm not quite sure how many of you here know, but I am a proud (closet, but still) furry. My dream last night was that I turned into…

<---This guy

Now my av'tar relates to my fursona in that my fursona takes the colors from Jasper/Tom from T&J, and is a lion like in TLK (he has other colors and different patterns tho).

Now I was still about (half? I think…) human so I still had opposable thumbs and such, and I was an anthro. :)

I was with my family at a timeshare cabin in the middle of winter, packing up on the last day (night actually) before we left the next day from an awesome ski week (no skiin' in the dream, but a remembrance of the awesomeness), and I was REALLY tired, so I decided to sit down at the desk in the (living?) room and take a quick nap. Before I put my head down on the table to sleep (yes in the dream, sleepception :) ) I said something like "I wish I was actually furry," and put my head down on my right arm. I overslept and woke the next morning (oops XD) and noticed something was weird about my right arm; that it was much softer on the surface and more comfortable than it had ever been before. I stretched out my left arm and opened my eyes a little but just to see,

BLUE FUR!!!!!

My eyes shot open and I immediately jumped up, sending the chair backwards into something. I looked up at a mirror that just happened to be right above the desk, (but just high enough that you had to be standing to see yourself) and saw that my face had turned into a partial cat face (still a bit humanoid) with my ears up on the top of my head. I yelled in joy (I had turned into my fursona in a way, wouldn't you be excited?) which caused my dad, then mom, then Bro to come in and see what was happening and give me increasingly odd (and hilarious to me) looks.
What was really cool was that I was still some percent human as well, as I could talk, sing, laugh, as well as meow, purr and hiss (but not the fake human versions : ) and I still had hands.

Kinda.
They were my normal hands, but when I curled my fingers and thumbs in, I had “paws” too (paw pads on the tips/knuckles of the fingers/thumbs).
And a tail of course! But of course one that *ahem* worked (helped me keep balance even better too like the real thing!!)

The rest of the dream was me exploring my new self and getting used to it, as well as meeting people and seeing their reactions/ explaining this to them. I was still the same size as I am now, 5'10"; no shrinkage at all so I didn't have to adapt to that any differently, and what was ANOTHER really cool thing is that EVERYONE who I met and saw me accepted this (after an odd face or 2), didn't make fun of me (again, a little right at the beginning), and seemed to actually think that it was pretty cool.

The strangest dream I've ever had...I think I was about 6 years old when I had it...I remember it quite vividly even today...
...it starts with me getting up out of bed to go to the bathroom...I get to the landing at the top of the stairs, and I look down the stairs...only instead of the stairs I see this sort of void and in the middle of this void...you know how a car wheel looks as you view it from the front? That's pretty much what I see, and it's spinning real fast like the same way a car wheel would spin if yer driving at top speed.
Then I look across the landing towards the other half of the house...which promptly sort of breaks away from my half and then sort of shrinks to the size of a dolls house...(actually I'm not really sure if it's shrinked or just goes really far away)...and my seeing eyes sort of zoom in on various rooms in the other half of the house...I remember in the living room I can see what I think was my dad sleeping in one of the chairs...and in another room, I see what I think was my mum pushing a pram.
Then I wake up in my bed...but it's me in the dream waking up...and all around me stand about a dozen robot electro-sheep...and every time I try to get up out of bed, one of them zaps me with a bolt of electricity and sort of resets me back into my bed.
This happens a few more times before I finally wake up in the real world.

Most of the dreams I have recently are about my crush. I didn't really dream about him that much before but after coming out to him and telling him that I like him, I've been getting these dreams about him.
My most recent one: My family was at a beach resort when this one happened. I was sleeping near the shore. I wake up and head to my family's room to find that I slept through the entire day and that we were already going home. I just shrugged it off and went back down. But while I was walking down the hallway, another family passed by. A familiar looking family. I recognize them somewhere but I can't tell what. Then, I realize it. It was HIS family. Nearly seconds after realizing this, someone hugs me from behind. I turn my head and see him. It was HIM. He wasn't saying a word and was just hugging me. I couldn't say anything either. I couldn't remember what happened after that.

Clearly, I need some help.

I'm a giant movie buff, and because of that my dreams often feel like films when I have them. They're aren't even normal films, they kinda feel like someone was on drugs and tried to write a script, but they're still fun dreams to have. The most memorable ones I have are the Horror film dreams, they're basically a cross between a nightmare and a really low budget action movie, and I act a lot braver than I would in real life. However I have dreams of almost every genre (except chick flicks because then that really would be a nightmare), and have even written a few of them down because I liked them so much.

A rather random but kinda nice dream I had quite recently...

...to explain this, I have to tell y'all the nearest big town to where I live has an old-fashioned victorian outdoor-and-indoor market with stalls and everything.

In my dream, I'm walking through the town's market, and suddenly come across someone I recognise to be my best real life friend, accompanied by a couple of other people who I assume to be her friends.
I come across them at this stall that's selling pens and pencils of all the colours of the rainbow, and the four of us start to sort of play with all this colourful stationary.
I don't remember dreaming anything else.

I think there might be a correlation between whether one remembers a dream or not and whether one needs the toilet or not when one next wakes up...I think one's bladder being full triggers a wake up signal in one's brain and one's memories get activated, and if one happens to be dreaming one starts to remember the dream one is having.

I'll tend to remember a dream that I was actually woken up during as opposed to naturally waking up. I think that's because your brain at that point is getting ready to function.

I had a dream just last night!

My Mum and I are shopping in a supermarket in town...and I pick something up from one of the special offer displays...but I had somehow mistaken it for something else...but don't realize this until we have almost checked it out at the checkout...I then promptly remove it and go put it back.
Then we head into the car park...and I look and see what appears to be my dad's car to my left...and sitting inside...is my mum...but my mum's also with me out in the car park...and I keep looking back and forth between the two...and the mum that's with me in the car park sez "you're not mistaking that woman in the car for me, are you?"
At which point the dream ends and I wake up.

It seems my dreams kinda make some assemblance of logical sense. :?

I don't think I've ever experienced a dream lucid enough for me to realize "Oh I'm not realy here, this is a dream."

I have experienced dé-já-vú though.
The first time I experienced dé-já-vú, I was playing with a huge-as-heckaroonie fully-articulated Spiderman figure I got for my 18th birthday...and I needed to go to the toilet, so I left Spiderman standing on the windowsil, went to the toilet...and when I came back and saw him standing there, all of a sudden I wasn't sure if I was dreaming or in reality for a good 2 minutes.
I then remembered I had a dream of that exact scenario a few onths prior to the actual event.

Since then I've had innumerable encounters with dé-já-vú...but none of them anywhere near as strong...and nowadays it's barely even noticeable...I think I sometimes have false dé-já-vú moments too...moments when it feels like I'm having dé-já-vú but then I somehow realise it's not.

Re: THE OFFICIAL DREAM TOPIC!

well the few that I've had, it starts out with a quick thought of "this seems like it might be a dream"
then I test the theory, usually by falling backwards and seeing if I fly or something like that. after that you can pretty much do anything, though it takes some practice to make people or characters appear.

You could start by learning to question what you experience is real or not, doing so called reality checks, to the point where you do it both when you're awake and when you're asleep.

I sometimes go to sleep wanting to test something/etc, and i remember that during the dream, and am able to do what I want (within the limits, sadly my dreams aren't as physics-off as some of you guys describe).

I had a rather interesting dream last night…I dreamt I was walking along a woodland path next to a railway line. (which was fenced off obviously)
And it seemed like the trains were just racing by, like, every 5 seconds…and one of ‘em blared it’s horn as it went by and I remember saying to myself (In the dream) “Blimey, that scared me half to death!”
Then I come across a small station…and this station has 2 normal platforms for the big trains to stop at, and then it has this little separate bay, in which sat a little miniature railway train…and as I make my way over there the miniature train steams off out of the bay and disappears under a bridge.
Then I make my way around the back of some small building beside this miniature railway bay and find a bit of a play park there, and in this play park was a couple of loops of miniature railway track for the miniature train to trundle down.
The loop nearest to me was quite small and short by the looks of things, and the other, further away one was quite long and big…and it appeared to be closed off…this was signified by a long, somewhat thick bit of tape that had black and yellow stripes going diagonally up all across it, tied to a couple of trees that were either side of the train track.
So then I make my way over to somewhere in the middle of the big loop of track and the look over my shoulder or something to see if the miniature train was coming up behind me…which it was…only it wasn’t the miniature train anymore…
It had somehow turned into a rather simple wooden toy train that was all rectangle and sort of flat to the ground…what’s more it was impossibly long…like there was more carriages than I could count…in fact I’m not even sure I could see the end of it.
The next thing I know this wooden toy train was actually toy-sized and I was playing with it, pushing it along and guiding it across a big gap in the track to a separate bit of track out in the grass, which was a smooth curve…and it was now like one of those bits of plastic Hot Wheels track for some reason.
So I push it around this corner and then I think the conductor or the driver of the train (there’s still somehow people on board) asks some question about nutrition for some reason. I don’t remember what the question was exactly but I remember the answer being an apple so I then guided the wooden train to a straight bit of hot wheels track that had (a picture of?) an apple on it for some reason.
That’s where the dream ends.

I know I said this before, but it’s weird that my dreams, or rather the ones I remember, manage to keep some form of logical sense…
I mean I don’t know of any stations for normal trains also housing a bay for miniature trains in real life…(I’m sure I’ve dreamed of something similar before)
…and there’s certainly no logical sense in a miniature train somehow turning into a wooden toy train…
But then me walking down a woodland path by a train line? There’s plenty of those about in Britain if you take the time to look.
Me being startled by a loud train horn? Well, who wouldn’t be at that close proximity?
Me playing with the wooden toy train when it appears? Sure, why not?
I don’t get that last part about a random question about nutrition and me having to answer it by guiding the train to the piece of track with the correct answer on it but whatever, for a dream that’s not very random.

I remember having a dream once where I played as some sort of "Spirit Walker". I would go around my dream taking different forms while doing some random stuff. I took the form of a big (were?)wolf. I was in a forest at night and it was snowing. I was traveling with a pack of wolves while we went around... uh, doing stuff that is way past the PG rating. It was really weird, yet at the time, it felt totally normal. There was more to the dream than that but I'm a little bit reluctant to share the rest since they're a little bit... gory.
