also, UPDATE:
we didn't drive up to maine that day. we spent the hole day in the hospital. my brother had a medical emergency. :( but he got better and the next morning we got out and DID drive off to maine. :3 and we had some nommy pizza, bought new cloth's and enjoyed a good laugh. YAY!

the trip is about 21 days. we still got about two weeks!

also, today, we drove around maine a bit and found some great scenery near the ocean. it was beautiful! sadly, so far i haven't seen any trees changing colors, but i have high hopes! after all, we did see a rainbow! :D

Is there a story to go with that?

Speaking of waiters, a warning, just in case you didn't already know: in the USA it's customary to tip them, on average, 15-20% of the total bill. This is because restaurants don't pay them well so they can afford to make food appear cheaper on the menu. I'm told they don't do that in most other countries, so I'm just making sure you know, just in case it's different where you're from. Excessively small/nonexistent tips are only considered acceptable in the case of poor service.

don't worry, we are good tippers. we all have waitering history i my family. ^^

well, its not much of a story, we just had two awesome waiters! one who's name was pete, and he was so cute, and he was trying so hard to be the best waiter ever even though he made so many mistakes! XD we just couldn't stay mad at him!!!

then we met a waiter who's name was forest. he was just plain fun. he told us about his trip to germany and how he wants to study medicine there one day. he was just a lot of fun. ^^

i've never thought about that! now, i realise that the last time i was in canada that the waiters are really talkative. there is basically no discussion here unless you happen upon someone who is in a talkative mood. it's service with a smile, but banter isn't exactly part of the deal.

also yeah, no tipping in Australia, so I am forever forgetting what it is considered acceptable to tip.

people who have had waiting jobs: is talk included in the job over there, or was i just lucky?

Not always technically, but since so much of the server's income relies on tips, the good ones try to be as friendly as possible, which sometimes involves being talkative. Talk is not uncommon at all.

i forgot to post here! :O

so today, we went up to cadilack mountain!!! BEAUTIFUL VIEW!!!! it was amazing! the hiking was great too. fresh air and the blue see right next to us! the greatness of nature!

also: on the way back, we saw a guy playing the backpipes! he was wearing a kilt and everything! he was very nice. i have pictures with him. (but those will come in the end of the trip. :p)

How many times did you hike? You seemed to hike a lot. I used to hike sometimes when I was younger, I suppose it is nice to see the nature.

yesterday was a bust... we didn't do anything we wanted to do. it was all over before we managed to get to it. but then we started hiking again, and we saw beavers in a pond! they were chewing on wood! they made the cutest noises EVAH! x3

welp! this is it! we have spent a few days in boston and cambridge (is that how you right it?) and we have been all over the place! i got a new Itouch!!!

i finally got a new music thing. my old one sucked. >.< we also got some manga today. we saw a show called shear madness and we explored the grounds of harvard! :3 fun for everyone! tomorrow we all go back home to israel. part of me is sad about it and part of me s glad, cos i have been missing all my friends greatly. *nod* *nod*

lol, i don't have too much of "photography" just photos. :p
some of the leaves turned, but not all of them. i took some pics in harvard, but not much of anything else. except some silly pictures.

i wanted to buy two new mangas that i have never heard of (i like doing that) but my parents decided that i only get one. i took something thats called "animal collage" or something like that. i think its gonna be good. :3 i also bought three new fruits basket mangas! yay! i love fruits basket. with these books im at volume 14! woot! (also, i got FMA from 1 to 23. oh ya.) oh! and while i was browsing there, i found a book called "drawing furries"!! its like, wht i have been trying to do since 9th grade! sadly, i couldnt buy it. i'll try finding it in the internet. until then, i'll just keep trying to find my own methods of drawing stuff. :3

where is the boston common again? i forgot. :/ (you have yoyo meets? lol)
