You guys, I have had the best birthday of my life! At my party on Saturday, after I came home from a great day at work, we had ice cream cake, deep dish pizza, hot wings, and my best friends and I had a big sleepover where we stayed up until 4 AM playing Super Mario Galaxy and doing things that girls do at sleepovers. One of my best friends also got me a State coffee mug, State hot chocolate, and a State candy bar. My best friend, in tribute to my orange fox hat, painted me the BEST birthday card! Then we had a Super Bowl party at work the next day, where we ate awesome food during our break, and I made some new friends at work.

And today, as we all know, was my actual birthday! I got to sleep in until 7 AM today, and even though I was almost late to school, it wasn't a morning full of panic! The radio played good music, and I had a really pleasant morning.

My programming teacher let me skip half of class today because she knew that all of my friends were in a different lunch (they switched my class's lunch last week DX ). My friends started singing to me at lunch, and then my band family joined in, and that one guy in the senior class that everyone loves heard from across the cafeteria, so he joined in and then got pretty much the whole place to sing to me.

I had a really nice day at school, and I was also asked to talk to the local middle school kids about the computer classes we have at the high school, so I'll get to go on a mini field trip in two weeks. Beta Club things are coming together very nicely, as I'm the club president, and it's all working in my favor!

BUT WAIT. It gets better! So I get home from school, and my mom gave me my birthday card with the money for my prom dress and yearbook, plus a nice spray of flowers. I visited my Graduation Project mentor/neighbor to give him back some of his vases, and I ended up going home with another bouquet of flowers filled with carnations, roses, snap dragons, daisies and other wildflowers. <3

I returned home, and at the last minute, I wanted to change my birthday dinner from a local seafood restaurant to the Olive Garden next to where I work. We go without a fuss, and then, we met our waiter. Oh. My. God. You guys. We're talking tall, thin, blonde hair, blue eyes, the face of a good-lookin' guy, early twenties, and... BRITISH! He started off by asking if we wanted any wine (confusing my age), and brought the drinks back to start asking me about the argumentative-research textbook I had brought that was sitting on the table (I thought it would have been busy that night in Olive Garden, so I was going to do some homework if it had been). So I start telling him about my college class, and he's generally flirting with me, telling me how much he likes English and about his friends (one in law school and the other studying philosophy) being great speakers and blah blah, you get the idea. My parents tell him that it's my 18th birthday, and he's in total disbelief, thinking I was at least 21-22. XD Dinner goes on, he keeps making small talk with me as he asks about my schooling and I tell him that I have a friend from England. I mean, this guy is gorgeous. Even his accent and voice were just amazing.

At the end of the meal, I look at him and say, "You know, I've had a really great birthday today. Not to offend you or hit on you or anything like that, but can I get a picture of you so I can brag to all of my friends at school tomorrow about the cute British waiter I had tonight?"

This guy. His face. He was grinning from ear to ear. He grins and says, "I don't think I could possibly be offended by that!"
And then he sits besides me in the booth and says, "Shall we take the picture?"

Oh man you guys, that officially made my night. I had a plate of delicious chicken parmigiana and totally, successfully flirted with a British waiter in his early twenties. That's actually the first time I've ever openly flirted with a stranger before. XD

Today has been awesome, and thank you all for the great birthday wishes!

That right there would be my ideal birthday, but you just got so much more. I don't think you could have gotten one much better if you tried by the sounds of things. Pretty much the only thing I could think of that could make it better is covering one of your friends in streamers and making them walk around all day like that.

Oh well, it sounds like you had great past few days, whether you turned a friend into a streamer mummy or not. Hope what little of it you have left goes well and so does the rest of your week. *Throws confetti*
