Has anyone been/on vacation this summer? If so, where?

I'm at a relative's beachhouse in Delaware, there's like, no rocks on the beach, I swam for about 3 hours today.

I have not really went anywhere for vacation yet, but I think I will be going to Myrtle Beach somewhere around the 13th.

Indeed I am having fun, I love swimming, the oceans awesome! There's also a boardwalk with amusement rides on it, but we're gonna hit that up tomorrow.

I didn't go anywhere this summer. Nor the past summer... nor... ah, forget it, I was never on a vacation x3 But the sea looks fun.

I'm going on vacation this Thursday! It's gonna be fun! I'm gonna float on the Guadalupe River, see the museum in Austin (again) and ride segways around downtown! and go shopping! It's going to be awesome!!!

Well, I got slammed by a wave a cut my leg on a rock underwater, so, less fun now.

Well, to be more specific, at the very edge of the water there's a few rocks, but once you get even waist deep there is none.

I haven't been on holiday in years. I've forgotten what it's like! I could go to the coast this summer, but I hate water and sand, so I'm not going to. I'll just...stay at home again.

Aw, that's too bad =\ We're kinda in the same situation, I've never been anywhere xD But what's so bad about water and sand? It looks fun!

I'm just not a water kind of person. I don't like pools either. And I don't like sand because it gets into everything. I guess I'm just a stick in the mud like that.

What I would really want to do is go visit the north (in the US). I live in the South, and I've been all over the South. I'd like to go up to some place like Pennsylvania or New York. I want to hear people talk funny in real life. I want to see trees that I don't normally see, or see snow in real life, and see a summer where the weather isn't 100' F for days on end with 85% humidity(where it might actually be pleasant to go outside during the summer). And since you mentioned them, I'd like to see mountains that aren't just giant desert rocks.


So yeah. >.>

But I've been places. I've been to Mexico a few times (actually in it, not just a border town), so I've been out of the country. I drove to California with family about 10 years ago. And about 3 or 4 years ago, I drove to Alabama to see my father who was there for work. I didn't really have fun in any of these places though. California was especially awful because it turns out the relatives I were with were terrible people to have to share a car with on a 23 hour drive (back and forth!).

Well, the US is huge... It's hard going out of the country because of its size. It's the 4th largest country in the world, and takes up half of a continent!

Speaking of Canobie, I've been using my vacation time to travel to as much amusement parks as possible. So far I've hit Cedar Point, six flags new England, Six flags Over Georgia, and Canobie (but canobie isn't very eventful for me anymore). That's right, I'm a HUGE coaster junkie

Unlike you lucky ones, I work in the summers and get the winters off.. As a seasonal groundskeeper, I'm outside working everyday. And this has been one of the hottest summers evar! Thankfully I don't burn, one advantage to being Italian I guess!
