Up the Irons dude! I saw them around this time last year - one of the best gigs of my life without a shadow of doubt. I even got crowd surfed out to 'Running Free' and received a look of approval from Mr Harris himself :D

These guys do them some sweet justice and have some good original tracks too - check it

I was at two maiden concerts a long time ago.

On one of them, they played fear of the dark as their opening songs.

60k people standing up and screaming kind of sent a shiver down my spine, it was insane! |D

That sounds rad Tiggy! :D

They opened with 'The Final Frontier' when I saw them - DEFINITELY not as cool as Fear Of The Dark would have been. But I guess that's what I like about them. I love how they can change their setlist up as much as they like and still get tons of passion from the fans.

What I didn't like was that they didn't play Aces High or Run To The Hills, but that's life

A friend of mine offered to take me with her to a show Maiden is playing in Charlotte with Alice Cooper. It all hinges if she can get the tickets for it. Her aunt works for one of the sponsors and sometimes gets concert tickets.

I hope she comes through with them! It would be the show of a lifetime!

It was pretty amazing, even though I don't normally listen to them! This is the full concert from 2005

That stadium was the one they played in both times, 2005 and 2008

EDIT: Huh, the sounds to be a bit weird in that clip. Oh well!

Gah! I was going to go to that concert but that doesn't look like it's going to work out. >:

Are there still tickets available?

The show was totally awesome! :D So many pits, so much skanking, so much craziness, not enough orange soda! I got crowd-surfed during Linoleum but sadly no video evidence has been uploaded. I'll keep checking back and hopefully will find it in good time.

Did I mention Less Than Jake were supporting? ;)

Since I am being constantly bombarded with images and ads for the new Spider-Man movie I thought that I should dig this one out. This is the theme to the 60s Spider-Man cartoon played by the Ramones.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i5P8lrgBtcU

This was on an album that I found a long time ago at a record shop that was cartoon theme songs redone by punk and alternative bands,

Although I'll start by saying I'm not their biggest fan, it's nice that they've both returned to their classic sound whilst bringing in some newer elements. I was a bit disillusioned at 'A Thousand Suns', much the same way I was when Muse announced they were going to fuse dubstep into their new material. In my honest opinion it's a step in the right direction.

But it doesn't hold a candle to their old stuff

I just recently started listening to Cake and they're awesome!

Also, something funny. I was just in Greece and was browsing a store with Milo and he picked up a CD, just hoping that it would be somewhat good. He didn't particularly care for it but I kinda like. The genre is Rap. It's not super intense and pretty low-key, but it's really good. The group is called Αντίποινα (I don't know how it's pronounced.)

Check them out.

Some more of my recent findings are:

Panic Prone | Chevelle
Thrive | Switchfoot
The Attic | In Flames
When The Stars Burn Down | Phillips, Craig & Dean
Closing In | Matthew Ryan

Jared Leto is sooo awesome! :D

I saw them a few winters ago when the UK had that cold snap - queuing for an hour in Converse shoes when the snow is a good foot high is not endorsed by me. But the show? Worth it x 100. They're enigmatic live - even if you're not a devoted fan, go and see them and I guarantee you'll be blown away by the quality of their live performance
