I'm actually proud I still have my old football jersey from when I played.

I'm proud I just hit 304 friends on Facebook. (Hit as in, have/gained/connected with 304 friends. Those of you without Facebook, there's a 'poke' button, not a 'punch'. ;] )

Now, all of you who hate social networking sites, go ahead with the comments. ;P

I have a friend who has more than 1000 friends at Facebook... I am sure he doesn't recognize 75% of them though.

He also added 40+ people to his siblings, including me... Eh, what can I say.

I'm proud I've ditched my Facebook.

I've got friends like that too. XD

I will never, ever add random people that I don't know. My facebook is ultra-private, and I know all my privacy settings like the back of my hand.

If we go to the same school and I know their face and see them around ALL the time, I will add them. And I have friends' parents and siblings too. But I don't add those random 20+ aged guys that send me friend requests... (JAAAAAAIL-BAIT!! X3 )

I'm proud that a lot of people say I'm not a bad friend...but I'm also slightly ashamed in taking pride in that.

Reasons why I'll never understand my own logic. :P

I am proud that I can:

-Start a campfire with just sticks
-Remove and replace the drive shaft on any car
-Throw and hit things with a knife
-hit soda cans with my 22. from 230 yards away
-Ride my bike 5 miles home each day in 90 degree weather without stopping to rest
-Survive living in the armpit of California

..and that's all I think.

That's quite a list, D. I can do only one of these, and that's the bike thing.

I'm proud that people call me a better guitarist than my brother, who's been playing for 4 years (And I play for 7 months).

my apologies if I'm interrupting something kinda off-topic, but i saw the topic, and was like, yuss! perfect opportunity to stick my head out into the community a bit!
okay, before i say my trivial pride, i need to give a bit of a back story. so, at the back of the house, we have one of those sliding glass doors. for added security, during the night, we put a wooden stick in the slot that the door slides over, to block it closed.
anyway, my pride is that i can pick up the stick with a foot, balance on the other, then open the door for my dogs.
another trivial pride is that i always spin the spoons when i pick them up out of the cupboard, so that they face blade (?) forwards. (they get put away blade(?) down)

i don't think its that hard, but i like that it hurts in a good way, and that it feaks other people out but not me! i do it like every day in school! but i have to point out, make sure your doing it right:pinky goes behind the first knuckle of the ring finger, the ring finger goes behind the first knuckle of the middle finger, the middle finger goes behind the first knuckle of the index finger, and the index finger goes behind that little bump where your thumb meets your hand!!! cause thats the hardest.

My school has a "renaissance" program where they give students colored cards depending on their learning level and status as a student, and also grades and GPA.

White = Average
Red = Good
Blue = Great
Gold = Near-Perfect/Perfect

I was handed a gold card this morning, needless to say I was pleasantly surprised.

I'm proud that my school doesn't resort to colour codes as a representation of performance

I am, however, ashamed that we still use letter grades

We use numbers, should I be ashamed?

I am proud that I have an average grade of 88.7!

Yeah, it is probably something like B+. But I am still proud!

No, numbers are what I want. Everyone I know equates their grades to numbers anyway: "oh hey I got an A, that means I got over X%!"

Weird, because I want to try the letter system! I don't mind being graded by colors too! I think it is cool!

Oh no, we still use letter grades, as I said "It depends on grades and GPA" as well.

So you know, being a first honors student with mostly A's. I feel that's the only thing I got going for me.

GPA: Numbers. Grades: Letters. 'Renaissance': Colours.

your school is nuts

anyway, i should point out that there's a distinction between a "representation of performance" and simple grades in my post, even if it's not obvious.
