What to enter in Photo Contest

Hey guys,
My school is allowing us to submit an image to a new england photo contest for students and I need some help deciding between two images:

The thing is I've used 9 in a national photography competition and won first place, so I know it's great, but I don't know if I should use it for two competitions ya know?
Also if you're bored feel free to take a look through and tell me if you think I should use any others. I had a list of about 10 images but after consulting friends narrowed it down to these two.

Go with 9. It's pretty shnazy.
13 is good, but the glare from that headlight sort of hurts the eyes. If that could be removed, then I'd suggest using 13 instead.

Nine is more of a "Once in a lifetime" pictures.
I'd suggest you go with that.

i agree - 9 is better.
while 13 is really an awesome image, something about the unused space towards the top detracts from it. also, maybe it's just how the firetruck's lights are blinking, but they feel uneven. i was always told that you wanted horizonlines to be horizontal, and while not a horizon line, it seems to be serving a similar purpose.
9 has not only the really awesome brilliant colours of the flames, but the clear motion there. and the fireman kneeling makes the viewer imagine a story to go with it, project a personality onto him, and invent thoughts for him.
that's my reasoning, anyway.

#9, yep.
#13's pretty neat too, but I'd suggest 9, like Oblivion says, it's more unique.

i hate to say it but both look like Myspace headshots... you should get a check up by a doctor... just to make sure you dont have internet disease..

Oh I don't need a doc to tell me I have internet disease xD I KNOW I do
But I RLY don't think those look myspaceish... first of all he's not holding the camera, and second, you cant see his boobs *nods*

myspace photos are normally unprofessional anyway
unless taken by a professional photographer because it's for a band or something
like a proper one
anyway.
eight is better in my opinion
though i'd probably like it better is he had colour.
maybe it's just me though. i never liked b&w really. i can stand it anyway. sepia's the worst. but i digress.
of the two at the start there, i preferred nine, though it could use some fiddling to get rid of some of the ashes on and around his back there. i don't know, it just distracts me a bit.
public internet is slow so i'm not exactly planning on looking at the rest of that list there. sorry.

0 is nicer than 8, but still feels very pretentious. i may just like it because of the colour combination. 8 has that awful up-the-nostril thing going on that i've never had a tolerance for after watching Deathstalker and the Warriors from Hell.
i think 9 is nicer than 0 too, but again, just my personal take.
