Undeservedly cancelled TV shows
Since most TV execs are short-sighted hacks many shows that didn't warrant a cancellation received one anyway. Post 'em here.
To mention it right away: Firefly.

Mystery Science Theater 3000, though it lives on with Riff Trax and Cinematic Titanic.

Deep End. This is what I get for watching season fillers.

Re: Undeservedly cancelled TV shows
The ratings were low, but it had a cult following. It would have survived the low ratings because they sold a ton in merchandise. Also, I can't believe they canceled it just as soon as they were starting to have a plot!Vadiant wrote:Invader Zim. ... Re: Undeservedly cancelled TV shows
Actually, I think Invader Zim's ratings were pretty good, its just that the wrong audience was attracted, thus making the ads run at the time aimed at the wrong people, and some sort of weird arithmetic mumbo jumbo, and thus less money to be made on the show. Plus the whole HUGE budget they used for the show.

Most undeservedly cancelled show ever (Excluding ones that later came back, like Futurama); Father of the Pride. My god that was an amazing show
Also, Dirty Sexy Money I think got cancelled, and recently (I might be wrong, because shows get cancelled in America when we're still receiving 'new' episodes, because we're so behind the American schedule) didn't King of the Hill get axed to make way for the freakin Cleveland Show?

Megas XLR. A giant robot that was controlled by a gamer, a goth and a girl from the future. They fought against aliens from the future, along with other aliens. What could've gone wrong?

I've got to ask why do you think Moral Orel deserved to be canceled? I know some people didn't like the show (admittedly I know very few) but it was like the best show that AS had going for them at the time next to Venture Brothers.Dr. Prower wrote:Megas was epic, Orel deserved to be cancelled, and I never got around to watching Big O, but I did like the theme song.Flamboyant-Pencil wrote: Megas XLR

Flamboyant I completely agree with you none of them deserved to be canceled (well Outlaw Star wasn't but it deserves a direct sequel)

Honestly, I don't like a lot of the shows on AS. Some of them are good, like The Boondocks, but a lot of them are really stupid. Just my opinion.

I generally stop watching the moment Robot Chicken goes off as the shows afterwards aim for such a low denominator of humor that its insulting to watch.Dr. Prower wrote:Honestly, I don't like a lot of the shows on AS. Re: Undeservedly cancelled TV shows
Moral Orel's first season kinda sucked, but the later seasons actually went pretty darkly into its plot and humour. :v It's the last few seasons you need to watch if you wanna know what Moral Orel's about, not the first few episodes.
Pretty much AS said "Hey guys, make this show TEN TIMES DARKER" and the guys who wrote the show were like "HOW ABOUT ELEVEN" and then Adult Swim was like "Wait wait wait that's too much, our target audience is the kind of guy who thinks Tim and Eric are funny, they won't understand this at all!"
And Moral Orel was no more.
Also, besides Orel all I really like on AS is the Venture Bros., and I LOVED Harvey Birdman when they aired it.

I'd have to disagree :v It's very dark about people who live with hypocrisy. But there are a lot of hope spots in a few episodes (Reverend Putty accepting his daughter, for example). Hell, if you watch the ending episode, Orel still turns out to be a truly loving, caring father, despite the heCKhole he grew up in.

Re: Undeservedly cancelled TV shows
CBS usually has a better record of keeping TV Series on the air than some other networks, with the exception of Jericho.
Mickey Mouse Works/The House of Mouse (seriously? You're getting rid of Mickey? What is WRONG with you people?!), Family Guy (fortunately they fixed that mistake), Scrubs, TRL,The Jeff Dunham Show actually that one did deserve it, and an innumerable number of quality cartoons.

Re: Undeservedly cancelled TV shows
[Rant Mode] Ok I loved Edd, Ed, and Eddy (I had been watching it since it first started in the late 90s) but really it went on forever the show had become stale by the time they went back to school. And this is coming from a guy who liked the school episodes and also has seen every single episode of the series at least twice including all the specials and the movie.Sketcherofstuff wrote:Yeah, both cartoon network and nick cancelled their best shows.

It needed to end for god sake it really did. People need to learn the difference between a show that was canceled and one that just ended because you know show do, do that some times they come to an conclusion. People in this tread (and other places out side the forum) seem to want every show to be the Simpsons and never end.
Every thing has to end at some point or it just becomes stale and boring. [/Rant Mode]

Re: Undeservedly cancelled TV shows
Okay, I'll admit that it got old (I loved the school episodes though ) But I thought that the recent movie actually had alot of fresh stuff. Then again, at the end even Double D says "And it only took 130 episodes, 4 specials, and a movie"
