The poll currently says that this forum is 70% furry, so I'm not sure the cuteness of Housepets! is what's really keeping guys away.

I think Housepets! probably has a fairly normal, if not elevated proportion of female readers for a webcomic. Girls aren't that rare on the internet, it's just that most of the time it's guys who end up talking. Girls are often silent users. So my suggestion as to why there are so few girls here is simply the old "most of the people who post on the internet are guys" saying.

I don't apply to that rule.

So what you're saying is that guys have more freetime to spend on the internet then girls?? we're gonna assume that saying is true? Maybe a secret internet agent girl spy made that up so she wouldn't be caught...

There are obviously many exceptions.

I'm not saying that guys spend more time on the internet than girls, I'm just saying that guys "speak" on the internet more, with the possible exception of Facebook (where my girl friends are no more vocal than my guy friends). This should be very evident and hard to deny.
