I thought this deserved its own thread, even if it only lasts a little while.
Even if you did not grow up with this show, you can easily appreciate it. For those unfamiliar with this show, the concept is its what you do with your friends when you are watching a bad movie (or sometimes with a good movie) is to make fun of it.
The premise of the show is a man is shot into space by his mad scientist bosses. He is forced to live on the Satellite of Love and watch bad movies while they monitor his mind (its explained by the opening song). The man, Joel, later he escapes and is replaced by Mike, builds some robots for companionship and to help him mock the movies. Other than being a host segment, it has its own story line as the series goes on.
This was always a favorite of mine as a kid. I didn't always get the jokes but it was monster movies and robot puppets acting silly.
Here are two good episodes that I think best represent the show and its style of humor.
The first is the quintessential MST3K episode, "Pod People".

And here are two favorites of mine.
"Gorgo"

"Werewolf"

Of course, some of these films are so hilariously awful that they require no commentary to make them funny.
Does anyone here have any fond memories of this show, or a favorite episode? Is this your first time watching it? Do you ever do this when watching bad movies?
