is it just my cat or other cats too?
my cat tries to mimic what I do, she eats her meal when I eat mine, she tries to be with family when we all gather up, she tries to go out when I go out, she attempts to come in to the bath tub when I take bath, and when I climb up the stairs she does the same.

Some cats just want to be where the action is and know what's going on all the time.

We have a cat that, when we first let her in the house, cried at us because she couldn't get into a closed door and check everything out.

Your cat just sounds like she's attached to you. Not a bad problem if you ask me.

Forgot to respond to your question earlier, Texas ~ No, i didn't train my cats, but i have to admit, part of the reason i'm starting to suspect why they do it is because I give them food everytime they go to the closet. But i don't overfeed them =P

A friend of mine had a cat that hated to have it's belly rubbed. The best game to play was to put on a thick leather glove and scratch his belly with it. He immediately started to scratch and bite, but when he realized that he was not winning, he lets out a low yowl and runs off.

these may look odd to some of you folks.
I do this to my cat and she enjoys it. and I think this is only for cats not dogs. and I don't do it as hard as in the videos, just lightly..

I'll accept any and all tummy rubs your pets don't like. :P

My younger dog doesn't dislike tummy rubs specifically so much as being upside-down confuses him. *giggles*

That's kinda creepy and weird looking.
One of my cats, she can grab things just fine with her tiny paws. If she had thumbs she'd probably be opening the fridge, and many other things that hide food.

My Akita's getting old. :( He still likes to play though, but he doesn't feel well a lot of times.

He doesn't really do anything like that, it's just that sometimes when he doesn't feel well or whatever he doesn't like to be bothered. Of course, he is an Akita, so he doesn't like to be bothered anyway. Lol

Presumably they don't work like thumbs, though.

no, if a cat can give you a thumbs up, they are working like thumbs.

I played a youtube cat video while my cat was on my bed, as soon as she heard a meow from the video she started to growl and stare out the window to see if there was a cat out there.

If cats develop thumbs, what is going to stop them from taking over the world?

MY dad: "Walker, let's check out a new dog that we ware thinking about adopting."
:I follow:
2 hours later, Boom there's a new dog.

Corgi + German shepherd.

I was thinking about naming her Queen but her name given by previous owner is Molly, so, we decided to stick with it.

We found it dead on the side of the road. It was pretty much intact, so we took it, put it in our freezer, and are currently waiting to get it stuffed so's that we can hang it over our mantle(rest assured, it died of natural causes, so we didn't kill it or anything(Sorry if I offended people :S))

I guess that's a better fate for it than just natural decay!

Two weekends in a row I'm suddenly responsible for entirely different people's dogs. This isn't even something I usually do, either. Huh.

My dog had his fur trimmed, which wasn't smart since its winter and a longer coat is better. He looks so cute though.
Also went around to my uncles and saw his puppy Jack Russell, but she got exited and urinated on me. :| Despite that I don't know how people can't like small dogs.

oh yes, but thats part of the fun. Theres nothing like an irritating person in your family getting droned out by the sound of your dog yapping at them because the dog knows you dont like them.

The problem with small dogs is that they easily break if you accidentally step on them. I really prefer dogs that can be petted without the need of bending over.

You clearly have no seen a picture of my older dog, she is three years old and built like a tank. Stepping on her would cause serious foot injuries... and then she would bite you.

So, we have this Jack Russel Terrier. We have had her since two weeks before my mom found out she was pregnant with me (And she's still alive! But I'm not very old, so its not too surprising) When I was a tiny baby, before I could sit up, she'd drop a ball on me. I'd sort of hit it off of me or something, she'd grab it, and drop it on me again. I'll bet we have pictures somewhere.

ANYWAYS, onto some more recent stories!

So, every year we go to this little town in Ohio. It's got huge forests, tons of land, and a big creek. Anyway, we were playing in the huge backyard of my grandparents' house, throwing a frisbee, when said dog (her name is Jenni) appeared. I threw the frisbee to my mom, and she ran to go catch it, but halfway there, Jenni sprang up and caught it midair. Now, this dog is 12 years old, and seems like the sort of dog who you would find napping in the sunlight. (Or biting someone. She isn't the nicest o3o) We played an entire game with her, and it was really fun. Really, really fun.

We also have a Pitbull! (His name is Kilo :3)

He's a crazy butt. Sometimes, he'll wake up from a nap, and then madly dart around for about a minute. And then he'll go nap again. He does this at least once a day, sometimes twice. He will often make loud whining noises, and then make low growly noises, and then whine again. We call it "singing". If you happen to be on a computer, he will come sit in your lap, and refuse to move, unless you stand up and dump him on the floor.

That is all I have to say right now

I grew up around animals, so they are second nature to me. Probably why working at an Animal Hospital is simple and fun.

I currently have a cat, a guinea pig, and a dog to take care of. The cat is mine and named Pierce. He is completely black and polydactyl, a Hemingway cat. That means he has extra digits. I believe he has two or three extra ones. He was a stray that came into the Animal Hospital. He wasn't being adopted, so I took him in. He is great, but he likes to climb people and lay across their shoulders. Cute, but painful.

The dog is a little maltipoo. Very cute and active, as she is still a puppy, but well mannered too.

The Guinea Pig was put on our door during the night at the Animal Hospital, so I gave the little guy to my niece and nephew. I still have to take care of it at times, little things like trimming its nails and changing the litter. The Hamster is doing much better now than when he was abandoned.

My pet cat Simba died yesterday at the vet

He had complications in his bladder that prevented him from letting out his waste in the sandbox, my parents took him to the vet who operated on him and he died in his sleep painless. He was buried at the pet cemetery in the Gezira Sporting Club.
