Just for fun,
Here I am in the River Ridge Polar Bear 5K run, just a few miles outside of Babylon Gardens.
Having a ball, hoping more will join us next year for the race
Pre-race singing and dancing, warming up for the big run:

It was good fun.
Check out this lil' guy at the finish line: We crossed at approximately the same time. I either jogged or speed-walked the whole way, so this four year old must've ran full-tilt for 5 kilometers. He had told his dad that all he wanted to do was beat the dog, and he did! I didn't make it easy for him either. He was all smiles the whole way, except when I started catching up with them when we were running into a 22-degree, 8 MPH headwind (Fur helps)
Later on, I noticed that his photograph of us talking popped up in the Lansing state journal as part of the event coverage.

What is going on in the second picture? You look so freaked out!
