 *Pokes*
I was wondering if it was possibly to write something like a poke system for the forums? I think it'd be a quick way to get someone's attention to remind them of something or to get them to check their pms or threads. Just curious to see if anybody else would think we'd need something like that.

I don't see why a giant PM alert thing at the top isn't sufficient.

 Re: *Pokes*
We could encourage everyone to turn on pop-up notification for inbound private messages.

 Re: *Pokes*
Its an interesting idea though the big message alert thing is usually enough to get my attention.

 Re: *Pokes*
my only complaint would be how it's over used on Facebook. To the point where it was becoming really annoying.

 Re: *Pokes*
Well, sometimes I feel like a nag asking people to post. So I was hoping a little tap wouldn't seem too intrusive.

 Re: *Pokes*
I'm assuming this would be, mostly, for the RPs. If you want someone to post, then just PM them telling them to do so. A poke won't get them to do so any more so than an actual PM. A poke would be less effective.
PM's email the person in question, as well as give the pop up notice and large banner at the top of the screen. That besides, a poke plugin would need to be installed by Rick. It's not an option that can just be turned on. Probably not worth the effort, when the PM system works just fine.
