I have very limited time on the computer every day, I don't usually like to spend that time searching through forums trying to find a thread topic that may not exist.

Well there's a search function. Also it was on the front page.

Well, the search function on most forums is kinda useless for finding what threads already exist. But yeah, it was right there on the first page.

Ok, what would everyone think about a topic for people who are in marching bands?

I'm in one and it seems that a few other people are in or have been in them too.

Another good way to search a forum is to go to Google and put this in:

site:housepetscomic.com cute animal photos

I leave off the www, since some websites have a different subdomain for forums or I may want to search the main site -and- the forums.

That's why I'm asking. I did a search on marching band to see of the topic already existed, and it did not from the looks of things, but a lot of people say that they are or have been in a band.

I guess, I'll give it a try once I get to my computer.

I'm thinking about creating "Good luck to ya" topic/thread. where someone can write about what they need luck for and wish a good luck to someone. somewhat overlaps with joy and sorrow, but diffrent reason to start with. mehhhhh

also, how about cooking topic?

I see no reason why a cooking topic wouldn't be acceptable.

ahhh seems like cooking topic is pretty original Idea. but I have no idea how to start with... I'll think about it. anyone good at cooking?

That's the kind of thing you ask in the thread.

The concern I had with this thread was that people would read it and think that thread-starting requires a lot of "paperwork," which I think is silly. You don't need approval for any threads that aren't controversial. Worst case scenario it just doesn't get much activity.

The forum's search tool can usually find whether a topic exists, unless it doesn't include the word that describes it for whatever reason.

Any topic about where we can talk about pets? not housepets, but pets like hamster, cats,dog etc.
so that we can ask questions and share informations about pets.

I believe there's a "Housepets! of your own" topic. The search feature will probably give you what you want.
