Let me say this now. I am not a furry. I get confused for one so often, though, that I have had to put it in my sig, so I guess you could say that I am as close to being a furry as a human can get....

A furry is a person interested in anthropomorphism. If you like animal people in fiction at least partially because they're animal people, I'd call you a furry.

and it has to have that "because they're animal people" element. I like them for their character development.

Alright, contributing to the furry population here. I don't go to conventions or anything, but I do rather like anthro characters and have an FA account, so yeah.

And my fursona, following several years of evolution, is a wolf/snow leopard/rabbit sort of thing. Long story. That I probably can't remember all of anyway.

Yes, I'm a furry. My "de facto" fursona is a GM white Labrador (partially based on a RL Manchester Terrier/Dachshund of the same name that died in 2003). Unlike many furries, my fursona is more independent and does have differing personality characteristics. He's actually more of a character of closest fit.

Ok, so I'm another in the "no" category. But I have nothing against it. I like furry stuff. I have friends that are avid furries. Heck, sometimes I even go to the local furry gatherings with them. But it's just not something I identify with, if ya kinda see what I mean.... I dunno.

But I was told by a very wise wiccan lady that my totem is a siberian tiger, so when I'm rich enough to be a Bond villain, I'll just get a pet one of those.

I know you wanted to avoid a "maybe" option, but:

On the one hand, I don't identify as a furry, nor do I want to, meaning that I wouldn't say "I'm a furry" as a description of myself.

On the other, based on my own (rather broad) definition, I do qualify--I prefer to draw animals rather than humans, as well as watch so-called "furry" movies and read webcomics with the same.

I guess you could say that I fit my definition but I don't want to label myself in that way.

What are exactly the "Qualifications" to being a furry, cuz I like furry comics and art and stuff, but I don't have a fursona or any of that kinda stuff, so.... yeah
